It's all about the defensive pressure Tigers...

Check the stats from St Kilda's win in Adelaide last night.
Saints... 84 tackles - Crows... 55 tackles
Montagna 12 tackles on his own. (Who was the last Tiger to get such numbers?)

We all know how Carlton smoked our rear passage last Thursday due to the pressure they put on us all over the ground and their tackle count.

It's not brain surgery Terry & The Tigers.

Modern footy is sooooooo much about quick and accurate ball movement that if you don't exert pressure on your opponents when they have the ball, no matter what your "game plan" may be, you are still gonna get whipped...

Pressure & tackle your arses off Tigers, you may be surprised how the rest falls into place afterwards!

JUST DO IT TIGERS!

here here roachy,

early trends are suggesting that tackle counts are going to rise substantially this season. Collingwood set the trend last season when they laid a record 86 tackles when they trounced the cats, carlton laid 84 last week, the saints 84 yesterday, sink or swim tigers, 55 tackles last week for us was good from a club average perspective (usually a mid 40's tackling side), for the competition nowhere near good enough.

About montagna, no one would suggest hes a hard nut or inside mid, hes a ball carrier and he laid 12! Just goes to show a point i made in another thread, dont fall into the trap of labelling certain types good tacklers and the need to have them in the side to get the count up, EVERY SINGLE PLAYER collectively needs to do their part 3-4 tackles each today please!
