Could some Richmond fans tell me why Deledio doesn't play full time midfield? Seriously, this guy has major talent and yet is being wasted playing flanks/forward for periods of games. He should be a full-time midfielder and he should be tearing games apart and yet is being wasted. Any Richmond fans care to elborate or is there something that I'm missing here? Is he carrying something?

To be honest mate I have no idea...I don't like him playing on the half back flank or any crap like that. He changes positions so many times I am not even sure he knows where he is playing sometimes. I think he needs a refresher with a new coach who will make him play 1 position...and 1 position only. With a rest in the forward line if necessary.

Pettifer...you are a ****head...I wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave our rabble of a club anyway.

I don't think Deledio is 100% fit, but I get the feeling as mentioned above he is drowned in confusion by Wallace on where he wants him to play. Only 2 spots Deledio should play, midfield or out of the attacking goalsquare.

This is one thing that i have been wanting to see. I don't think it's Deledio i think its Wallace. When the ball is near Deledio he rarely loses it. Big body, good skills and just about everything really.

He hardly ever starts in the centre, i remember the first time i seen him start there he got the first centre break. For crying out loud let him play in the centre and occasionally up forward.

A vagina and a pair of rollerskates. Coasts through games, doesn't want to impose himself, doesn't want to be at punt road, content to be a bit of icing on what is a cake made of dog s*it.

Ok - I am going to cop flak for this.
Deledio has been advised by his father as of last week prior to the Wallet Newman incident not to sign for the club until the end of the year. ( I dont blame him until the new coach has been appointed).
His Father said that his first preference should be to remain at punt road.

Brisbane & the blues have made a play for him. His father has told him to forget about the lions and he should stay in Melbourne and if he leaves he needs to go to a club that is on the rise. Unfortunately for the blues they either have got young players too good or equal to Lids. They wont finish last to get him for nothing nor the room in the cap. But they will make a big play.

Apparently lids was close in signing a month ago but it has all gone too quiet for my liking.
My stand is , if he wants to leave he can but give us two pick and one inside top 5.

If he want's to go let him, if he want's to stay and be a part of the next rebuild then so be it.

After Wallace saying today that the quality is not there in the team could you blame him for wanting to go. Look at Richo, one of the greatest players ever to pull on a Tigers jumper and played in a couple of finals at best.

Maybe good trade bait in the 2010 draft to the cashed up Gold Coast.

Picks? We will take what we can get.

SAD SAD SAD:thumbsdown:

Jeez did Wallace say this ? where did he say this?

I hope he does resign with Richmond for next year, but if his heart isn't with the club then there is no point in him playing for us! It will be a sad day at Richmond if he makes the choice to leave.

He said the club was No.2 in the AFL in winning contested football this season and dominated that area for much of the game against the Bombers, which demonstrated their intensity.

But he said that once again they lacked the polish to capitalise on their hard work.

"All of our parameters of hardness have been reasonably up, so that side of it's there," Wallace said.

"But when it goes to the parameters of genuine quality, at the moment we're running short and that's the reality.

"You can be as hard as you like and cracking in at the contest, but unless you can get some quality to go along with that you're not going to get results.

This is form our coach in his fifth year  must be inspiring for the players to hear this:thumbsdown:
