What i saw today was pathetic and not even remotely competetive and this is why
 
I recall seeing that *** Thomas get the ball and pull away from Mcmahon at one point, why don't we see Deledio using his pace to outrun players after gathering the ball. The only bloke we have who seems capable is Foley.

Deledio - Cant break the tags, wasted up forward.
Tambling - Still not strong enough.
Meyer - who?
Pattison - Tries but isn't technically correct.
Polo - 1 game wonder so far.

Still all have long careers to go.

Vividly recall the photo opp at Casey's mansion (maybe Sandhurst? - where's Benny?) with the aforementioned.

i believe its a confidence thing its all about backing your own ability i dont know if deledio believes in himself! and thomas is a *** in fact biggest *** in the league by a long way

I reckon there is a reason he is being played as a forward and it isn't because Wallace thinks its a master stroke either. HMMMM???

Oh nos Delidio can't break a tag for half a season. Lets just throw him in the forward pocket. ____ing hell it takes time to learn to break it. Even Juddy took half a year.

But whos fault is that? If we had drafted Franklin would he have shown any improvement from when he first started? We are just an extremely lazy team. The only players that improve are the ones that have limited ability and have to improve to get a game and make a career such as Foley and King
 
For a bloke who is just about the quickest in the league, why the hell does he handball all the time instead of taking someone on & running around them

He didnt just pull away from McMahon. He took a bounce then delivered a perfect pass onto pie eating Rocca's chest.

Made me sick to my stomach.

Finally someone said it.

Deledio = showboat = overrated

He is overrated, and is no where as good as RFC supporters make him out.
 
tell him to shave his hair off and plop him in the middle - make him be embarrassed by the taggers until he becomes mature enough to work his arse off to beat them - he has the "elite" mentallity but isnt being challenged enough to reach it

think the same thing with brown - he broke his leg badly - we know - but stop protecting him - should have been moved into the midfield in the 2nd quarter to get him involved -we cant have our most skillful players ( and highest paid mind you.) watching the game fade away in a forward pocket - its pathetic.

brown, deledio - in the middle:thumbsu: let fate happen IF it happens

give me a break - i am sick of this "but what about the children" retorts.

he is being protected playing up forward plonk him in the middle, let him be beaten until he learns the art of beating a tag - end of the day, our options otherwise are pathetic.

and besides foley? the bloke who didn;t go number 1, was a rookie, gets paid a lot less, draws a lot less attention to himself - and works harder? maybe brett should take some notes....

sick of this belief he should be a forward - "the next brad Johnson":rolleyes:

think people forget that johno was a smashing success as a winger and midfielder before he became a dominant forward. it was when his ability to be a potent midfielder began to decline ( and a complete lack of anything resembling a quality tall markg forward was on the list ) due to age that he became this type of player - based on experice and nous.

we are trying to turn a fella - who is 20 - & should be a premier midfielder, into the type of player which is usually left to "on the decline" superstars ( johnson, greg williams, jarman etc )

Deledio is no ordinary 20yo (21 this month isn't he?)

He is the STRONGEST player at our club, the FASTEST player at our club and arguably the BEST KICK at the club.

He should be doing a lot more than what he is.
 
Delidio is no longer the FASTEST player in the side, he look like he can hardly run, and on the rare ocassion when he tried the pies opponent matched him. Something is not quite right and I suspect he has some kind of hip/leg injury.

No idea who it was but on MMM after the game they said someone was struggling with OP hope it wasnt Lids can anyone shed some light on this as i didnt catch the name.

Add to that starting Foley along side brown and deledio in the forward line and we were always going to be doomed.
I seen Deledio get outran today by Jackson, I'm pretty sure Brett if having a go would out sprint Jacko 10 out of 10 ????
