Re: List of players I would like to see moved on at seasons end in order:

1. Farmer
2. Graham (trade if possible)
3. Hislop
4. Jackson (trade)
5. King* (*if he continues to show nothing or gets into deep shit with this police investigation)
6. Mcguane
7. Miller (why is he even here?)
8. Morton (Unless he remembers how to play football)
9. Nason (shown nothing this year and already 22)
10. Taylor
11. Thursfield
12. White

Draft 6-8 and find 4-6 mature age players who can at least do a better job of filling the holes in our list until we develop better players.
Isn't it sad when the above listed gents are actually in our starting line up.....very sad indeed. Except for Taylor who has gone " walkabout"

Re: List of players I would like to see moved on at seasons end in order:

Agree with all except McGuane. Keep him for 1 more year if only for cover.

Would add Miller, Connors and Gourdis from your second list. Thats 8 in total, but 2 are rookies (Miller and Hislop). So that gives us 6 senior list spots - 1 trade, 4ND and a PSD. No rookie list upgrades this year that I can think of unless i'm forgetting someone which I probably am. Should probably delist 1 more to get 5ND picks.
MGuane your joking you fool whats the 1st thing he does when he gets the ball.I'll bloody tell you he looks backwards and 9 times out of 10 he turns it over he is a dead set joke and you want to keep him get fair dinkem mate.

Re: Never again these 4

The opening post lost all credibility when it mentioned Rance. Rance is a gun and one of our best players and one of the best young defenders in the competition. I agree on the others, but putting Rance in that category is ridiculous.
Ahhh bugger i forgot Rance is a player who has a crack but geeeees he has more goals kicked on him than any other player in the league thats our problem we accept players like Rance he wouldn't blow smoke up Enright's clacker. You guys keep applauding players like Rance for me he won't be a premiership
player and is as Jack would say i good average player who has to many tickets on himself what sort of tool walks around the club starkers 1/2 the time i'll tell a tool like Rance who thinks he is god's gift.Awww and i forgot our Players got ahead of themselfs after winning a few games LMAO alot like most of you fools on here WHO were saying we will play finals just goes to show how much you keyboard Warriors know you guys just keep accepting the same old lines from the club keeps dishing up were a young group learning the game plan. And we have players like Graham who would not know 1+1 lol no wonder they carn't work out the game plan.LMFGDAO

Re: Never again these 4

if we talk about list changes perhaps we should first work out who is contracted and who isnt. lets forget about trades for now, if you want quality or very good picks you need to offer up quality, what little quality we have we have to hang onto.

as far as i can ascertain this is a list of players out of contract if others can add to this please do. oh and im only talking list proper.

astbury 20, browne 21, dea 20, farmer 22, griffiths 20, jackson 25, morton 24, nahas 24, nason 22, newman 29, rance 22, taylor 20, webberley 23.

i know edwards graham moore and post were out of contract in 2010, but im sure edwards has had an extension and the other three have possibly been contracted to at least the end of 2012.

so who is safe out of those uncontracted. the obvious ones are astbury, browne, dea, griffiths, newman, rance.

so whos left and in the uncontracted gun, and what other reasons are there for them to go other than being uncontacted, and perhaps what reasons are there to keep them.

they are morton, farmer, jackson, nahas, nason, taylor, webberley.

theres 7 from the list proper. the next question is how many should we cut from the list proper this yr, and include what rookies are to go.
to answer this we need to ask how many nd picks should we use, do we use a psd pick, is anyone going to go onto the vet list ie newman, do we chase after some mature players.
what also needs to be asked is where are the holes in the list what areas can we afford to cut from who is superfluous to needs from a list structure view point.

so lets look at those 7 uncontracted players.

Taylor - im assuming hes left already this seems the most logical conclusion.hes a specialist forward while tall hes more of a flanker type and we have a dearth of this type.
with him gone we actually have to go out and find more of his type even if he stayed we would have to do this. the forward line has massive holes in it. This leads me to the next player. gone.

Morton - yep uncontracted and well and truly in the gun, has weaknesses that are well documented, because of massive holes in the role he plays, and sheesh i cant believe im saying this his experience imo we have to give him another yr. we have just two genuine medium sized forwards morton and macdonald its an area we must look at.2012 is truly a make or break yr for him id delist if possible keep.

Nason - a 22 yr old very small and light mid. nothing exceptional about him and we have plenty of his type. probably out of contract at the wrong time as their are others who have had more opportunity and done little. gone.

Farmer - 22 yr old 5th yr player with lots of deficienies and has done very little. what also hurts is he is in competition with the likes of dea orielly batchelor conca newman and jakobi. simply put not up to it and we have more promising options. gone.

Webberley - another defender in a similar boat to farmer we have better options hes a sort of average at everything type with no outstanding redeeming attribute this with size . gone.

Nahas - a very small very limited player who lacks the necesary polish. is probably performance wise the best of those out of contract atm. we have a fair few of his type and while not the worst on the list he is out of contract and has to go.

Jackson - i think an ideal time to get rid of a long term underperformer. like nahas hes out of contract at the wrong time as there are a few others who probably could go before him. imo what he does can be easily replaced slow dumb and not needed. gone.

so for me the players who should go are taylor, farmer, webberley, nason, jackson, nahas.
plus rookies miller, hislop, westhoff, hicks.

I would try trade Jacko if we can. Tuck is out of contract too. In trouble if Jacko can't be traded. Coaches seem to like Jacko better. Taylor, Webberley, Nason, Farmer all delisted. Nahas will probably stay. With such a young list and struggling to pay 92.5% would pay Graham/McGuane out of their contracts happily.

na tuck is contracted for 2012 and the better player. get rid of the uncontracted one what do we have to lose. what have any of the 7 given us in recent yrs.
jacksons done nothing in two yrs. nason the same, farmer the same, taylor the same webberley the same. the only one whos played some half decent footy is nahas and hes clearly not the answer.with this group its not as if we are throwing out a lot of leadership or experience or protection for younger players either.this yr or next yr might as be this yr seeing as they are out of contract.

Agree Tuck is the better player. Thought he was out of contract though and Jackson is the coaches favourite of the two. Would like to move Farmer, McGuane, Nason, Jackson (try get mid 2nd rounder), Graham, Taylor, Webberly off the main list. Hicks, Hislop, Contin, Westhoff off rookie.

Add Elliot Kavanagh, Sam Kerridge, Sam Gordon, Josh Tynan, Tom Sundberg, Oliver Tate plus either of Tyson Thomas or one of Ports's vic based kids in PSD.

Rookie additions of: Dayne Zorko/Malcolm Lynch, Jay Lever/Callum Sinclair, and two of Ben Duscher/Sam Gibson/Nathan Batsanis. Plus John Heslin and Gideon Simon.

List already improved with a weak draft.

Love your posts, they're half stoned out rubbish, half bullshit. Good work GLTF.

Farmer was excellent in his first year and has ben injured all this year Noway will he be delisted like what i see in Mitch

I haven't had a TV all year so i haven't seen any games so what i need to know is is is is is is is

YES!

Too light, and gets beaten more often than not by his opponent. Then, if the ball somehow ends up in his hands, hold your breath and close your eyes... if the opposition haven't kicked a goal within 30 seconds you thank your lucky stars!

you have to be kidding an excellent yr and here i was thinking it was underwhelming in the extreme. and to top it off it wasnt his first yr it was his third.
if anything in his time at richmond we can see why port were happy to let him go. a slow small player whos skills go to shit under pressure and to top it off just does not get his hands on the pill enough 12 possesions a game is not excellent.

That's if he hasn't given away a stupid free kick beforehand. Probably his biggest flaw is that he takes risks that a player of his skill level should never attempt in 15 lifetimes.
