I was really hoping to see a list of all DFA's in the OP. Might be worth doing if you have time, at the moment it feels a bit like the old "More to come" OP's.

FWIW I would be happy to grab Hartung from the DFA's I know off the top of my head.

I think perhaps Collins would be top of the list for us, Close from the Brions if as Snoop suggested he could be trialled down back... no-one I’d lose sleep over.

None appeal to me and not many spots on the list. Depends on what happens with Ramsay, Sinclair and Blair ( if he doesn't have a contract) as to our next move.

I quite like a few of the DFA's. Sounds as though McKenzie could be added to that list too.

This is where clubs can play it smart and fill a need on the list for next to nothing. All these guys are known commodities so you know what you are getting. Some call them list cloggers but they are really list fillers and valuable depth.

Thoughts on a few:

Hartung offers genuine outside speed and endurance, we don't need more mids but speed perhaps we do.

Crameri will be a handy player for anyone picking him up, not sure he quite fits our list but could do a whole lot worse.

Mullet/McKenzie should be looked at re: half back rebound and penetrating kicks

Collins should be good backline insurance and we need something there to cover for some of our aging defenders in Goldy/Dunn etc.

Lamb/Lennon genuine junior talents who never made it. Question is why and if we can do better, talent is still there and that is not easy to come by, comes down to application.

Close I am unsure of, that he couldn't make it at the Lions worries me. Having said that many ex Lions flourish once out of that environment. I probably pass though.

Can anyone think of a delisted free agent who was a success at his next club? Can only think of Leigh Brown and kind of Luke Ball, although he doesn't really count because he had real trade value. Probably goes without saying that the list spots these guys would take up would be better used on speculative youth

Does anyone know what's wrong with Lennon? I keep hearing he's a tool but that doesn't make you a bad player... is he lazy? Party's? or just not talented?

I just had a quick look but... Matthew Wright at Carlton is doing very well, Tim Membrey and Dylan Roberton at St Kilda, Joel Hamling worked out nicely for the Western Bulldogs. There's a few who do succeed, so I don't mind if we have a good look over who's available and we might find someone who can help us.

Pick 38 and T Brown are Hail Mary picks for pies really. A number of KPD in this years draft. May find a quality long term KPD at 38, and young T Brown may develop into a player like we hope.

But those two picks could equally go bust too.... as picks above 30 tend to do.

That's why I don't mind a KPD delisted free agent. Schade didn't work out, but only cost us a rookie spot... and early on he looked like a steal, before losing form then confidence and floundering away in the VFL.

Would rather we persevere with Ramsay another year before we go someone like Mullet though...

Edit: Mullet's stats better than I thought.

FWIW I think the club has alluded to that they're playing their cards in the draft. Sure they'd look at Collins and Close and I think they should, how heavily is anyone's guess. My spidy senses the club is playing the whole trade and draft period they way they are because they're know something and staying tight lipped about it............................... watch this space another strange or big decision coming soon

What happened to Trent McKenzie? I've hardly watched any Suns game the past few years, but he looked like a gun early on. He's only 25 now, but looking at his stats, he played 7 games this year and 7 games last year. Has he been injured or form dropped?

Of that list, I really want Collins.

Off the top of my head, going back you would say Peter Bell, Sav Rocca, Brent Guerra were all pretty handy. These days Joel Hamling, Mitch Robinson, Tim Membrey, Dylan Roberton have all done well after being delisted.

The Spidey senses have me tingling... are we talking a left field pick at 6 Carringbush?
