Now that we have Mcmahon and Morton how many more do we have to delist

Gaspar
Knoble
kingsley
Hall

All gone how many more are going..

Need to have 3 picks minimum in the PSD. So I'm guessing we will be getting rid of up to 5 (most likely 4) more players before the drafts, we lost Gaspar, Hall, Knobel and Kingsley, have added McMahon and M.Morton. Leaves 2 places to be filled at present. Adding King and Howat from the rookie list means we still need to cut 4 players to have the 3 picks in the ND and 1 for the PSD. The 4-5 are likely to come from P.Bowden, Hartigan, Jackson, Krakouer, Meyer, Moore & Tivendale as all are currently out of contract.

Johnson and Coughlan are also out of contract but you would expect both to be re-signed.

Anyone able to inform me on the spaces we have??

Asuming King is elevated, the two new recruits and a PSD player.

Thats 4 players in....

Gas, Kingsley, Knoble, Hall, Krakouer, Hartigan gone. (Plus Howat, but is a rookie)

6 players out

Which leaves 2 places free for the Draft. You'd think we'd draft at least 4 players.

Meaning two more players need to be removed.

Am I half on the right track? anyone able to lend a hand?

We need 4 picks at least, therefore need to delist 3.
With only 2 listed rucks, i would suggest that we would need to put Graham on the list and would then need to delist an extra player (4)

I would think Hartigan, Krak and P Bowden would be the three, with one of Meyer, Tivendale or Moore to go if Graham was promoted. Howat to be removed from the rookie list leaving us with either 2 or 3 rookie picks.

My bet would be
Out= Hall, Kingsley, Gaspar, Knobel, Hartigan, Krak, P Bowden, Tivendale and Howat(off rookie list), King and Graham(promoted) - 8 and 3 rookies
In- McMahon, Morton, King (Promoted), Graham (Promoted), Picks 2,18,51 and one PSD pick 8 new players and 3 rookies

Now we must recruit 3 from the NAB Draft and if we're going to promote both Graham and King. I don't think we can afford to promote Graham because I can't see us delisting that many players, but anyway, if we do promote him.

We need to delist 5 players! Who? Hartigan for sure, Hyde (but contracted), Krakouer and P. Bowden. So you see thats only 4 players, we should of traded Schultz for pick 28, as then we'd have enough places and a much better pick!

BTW- how many times does it have to be said, GAS was on the vet's list!

Gas was on the vets list but we can promote Bowden to the list in his place.

We had 38 listed, 2 vets and 4 rookies. Therefor if Gas is taken off the vets list and Bowden is put on we have 37 listed, 2 vets and 4 rookies + Gaspar who retires and we gain 1 position to fill. Unless Bowden is kept on the primary list and we take 5 rookies, Gas can be counted as i player off the list.
 
Can someone inform us, (I'm sure Weaver has this knowledge) if we are going to promote graham, which im positive we will, when does this have to be done. Because I've heard we have to pick him up in the draft or someone else can pick him up in th draft if we dont promote him, just wondering if thats this year or next.

We can extend Graham's rookie-list contract for 1 more year. Have to make the decision October 31.

Yeah forget all the maths. Gaspar, Kingsley, Hall, Knobel going. Bowden to the vets list. Howat and King to the main list (for the exercise) = 36 (primary + 2 (vets) + 2 (rookies Graham and Clingan)

+ Morton, + McMahon

38 primary, 2 vets, 2 rookies

So zero vacancies (well 2 rookie vacancies).

Not technically. You need 3 picks. You can pass on them all and take them all in the PSD if you like, or take 1 PSD pick and move Bowden and Richo back inside the primary list.

We need to delist

Someone to create pick 2.
Someone to create pick 18.
Someone to create pick 19 (so we can trade it).
Someone to create pick 35 (so we can trade it).

So 4 delistments are needed.

That will create pick 51 and 67.

Giving us 2, 18, 51 and 67. 67 will be reserved for the PSD.

Hartigan, Krakouer, Howat, Meyer, Moore, P.Bowden are I think the out of contract guys. So 4 of those guys. Probably Moore and P.Bowden to survive.

Adelaide had traded that pick for Symes.

Getting the pick for Schulz would have had no net effect. We'd have to have 'cut' an extra player to make space for the pick (that player would have been Schulz). No extra list spot there.

1. Andy Krakeour
2. Cam Howat
3. Kelvin Moore
4. either Chris Hyde or Brent Hartigan (only room for one of these)

Bowden survives because Moore goes. Meyer survives purely to give hom one last chance.

hartigan for me, hyde has at least proven himself to be capable at afl level, why hasnt Oakley-Nicholls been mentioned...or is he been kept on the merit of his high draft number? his performances have been poor, even in the vfl gf where he had a week game and failed to asert himselft like a high draft pick should. i would delist him before thinking about hyde, but hey thats my opinion:D

Because delisting contracted players is rare and stuffs up your cap management.

no way...Moore has shown a bit in VFL finals well ahead of P.BO...Meyer just hasnt got it..Hartigan same ...Hyde or Tivers...id prob favour Tivers , he's actually proven himself to be capable at the level...Hyde is still questionable

I think they'll keep Graham on the rookie list for another year and use him to rest Pattison and/or replace a ruckman if injuries kick in.

I don't think Howat will cut the mustard.

King is a definite.

Don't know why people keep on mentioning Jackson and Moore in de-listings talk - they will be required players.

Paddy Bowden might be in trouble though.

The people mentioning Tivendale as one of the 3-4 delistings are just morons. Obviously dont watch Richmond and have a pet hate for the bloke.

Yes, l dont like Tivvo either, but there is 6 blokes that go before him. He played more valuable games than nearly 15 other guys this season.
 
i want krakouer and hartigan to go for starters.

id like to see johnson and tivendale go but they have been far from our worst so its not realistic.

would much rather keep meyer and moore as they are younger and could still come good.

hyde should go hes not taking us anywere although i dont think too badly of him.

JON hasnt shown anything but along with meyer deserves one more year.

p.bowden im unsure of.

dont really know what terry thinks of him.

but after bringing him to richmond from the dogs he must like him a fair bit and he will probably be retained.

howat im unsure on.

i dont mind him at all but hes never going to be much more then an average to good footballer.

i guess we will find out soon.

i just hope we get someone decent in the psd.

well someone with potential, if they were that decent they wouldnt be in the psd :p
