Denis Pagan for Barry Mitchell

Would it be out of the question to trade a coach at the end of the year? Is it possible? Please could any club who are in a premiership window take on his contract. I am worried that if we don't sign Barry Mitchell up as coach soon another team is going to get him.

It doesn't take blind Freddy to see the Pagan has lost the players. The effort isn't there! Sure, the players are at blame, but a good coach gets his players going. I honestly don't think our list is that bad. It's just that we have a coach who has no faith in the team and is sapping any form of confidence out of the players by setting up a game plan where 18 players play behind the ball. Our disposal is absolutely crap, but I honestly don't expect any more when the only option kicking out of the backline is Waite or Fev who have three opposition players on them.

The current form of the Northern Bullants is vindictive of how good a coach Mitchell is. Daniel Harford has said that Mitchell is the reason he returned to the Ants. Kouta has said that he was one of the two biggest influences on his career. IMO Mitchell instills belief in the players and shows faith which is what Pagan doesn't do.

No one will deny that Pagan is a good coach. However Carlton are not the right team for his style of coaching. I also believe that he is also the reason why a lot of past players have not returned to the club.

We need a young coach with new and fresh ideas, I believe Mitchell is the man. Some of you might shoot me down for this, but I am sick of this bull. It really has become clear enough to me in the last few weeks that a change needs to happen. Last week Pagans decision to move whitnall to defense most likely cost us the game. This week we lead by two points at half time and then to my dismay, had to view that garbage in the second half.

I am sick of losing and I am sick of these cop out excuses week in, week out from our coach. We'd be better off paying a monkey 600,000 bucks per year to dance for the players as after the game entertainment. It'd be just as effective at winning us games as Pagan is.

Pagans gone.... Kouts finished( love him but he is gone) stevens and houlanhan will never be apart of finals footy add in scotland here if ya want just wont pick up players..walker handball only policy imo

Agree with Pagan and Kouta, also Scotland. But both Houla and Stevo have a future. Houla has been very good this year, didn't watch the game because of local footy so can't comment on his performance, also was Walker's disposal bad again?

Ive come around to the idea pagan needs to go!!!

We need a young enthusiastic coach to give confidence to the players ... if barry mitchell can step up to be an A grade coach then he could be the man.

With the game plan pagan is trying to employ i doubt we'll beat anyone this year

I agree that we need to get rid of paga. there is no doubt that he has been a great coach for us, but i dont think barry is the answer. Why not Greg Willams, his ment to be the best footy brain ever and his a carlotn boy through and through. I saw give him the gig and get sticks as his deputy

I am now on the get rid of Pagan bandwagon. We seem to be the only team over the last few years going absoutley nowhere. Starting to think Carey was easily the greatest player of the 90s and just carried the team by himself.

Don't want Mitchell though - don't know who I wan't. Can SOS coach? How about Ron Barassi - at least he will get our basic skills up to scratch.
