Well the ball has started and the dancers are assembled, but a few of them seem to be on crutches an some are using canes.

Already Hawthorn and Carlton are looking crippled with injuries and WC could be pretty wobbly if Cox doesn't come up and this is only the first week.

Here is where our recruiting guru and fitness staff have served us well, giving us a surplus of ready made finals quality AFL footballers to fall back on :)

Seriously how many teams could have withstood 100 tackles in a final without their AA CHB and their hardest running on baller?

We've had a steady string of injuries all year and a late rush of injuries and suspensions and still sit 21-2.

Hats off to Derek and Butters. :thumbsu:

Im with you Jonbe.
Lets hope we make it through next week without any injuries.
It would be great to be able to go to the big dance with a full congo line to choose from.

Not to mention Nathan Brown out all season. The team has coped with injuries very well this season. Lets hope we don't have to find out much more about that in the next few weeks.

I just read WCE will have Cox and Kerr playing, they should win comfortably enough, but who knows how they'll back up last week's effort?

Yes, we've done well.

The only problem is Geelong is having an amazing run with injuries (Menzel aside), and are the fittest side in the finals.

They've also managed their list incredibly well this year.

Do we have more midfield depth than Geelong on a fully fit day though?

Last year we ran them off their legs in that department.

All I know is in the first match against the Cats we were far from our best and in the second we had key players out and basically threw the match and treated as a fitness run. I firmly believe a full list fully fit is superior to the best Geelong can muster, that will be the mission for coach and fitness staff in the coming few weeks. Geelong has to get there first, Carlton have the midfield to trouble them while West Coast with Cox and Kerr fit will tackle the living beejeezuz out of them.

I believe we have finally got a bit of luck with the fixture, not that either possible opponent is a pushover by any means but it looks a softer final for us.

Time will tell, we have the runs on the board and room for massive improvement whilst they are playing at the absolute peak of their peak.
