Think its natural to become a bit desensitised. There are potentially thousands of threats you face potentially every day. If you focused on every single one you couldn't function. So your brain just shortcuts what the threats are in your immediate area and circumstance. Everything else is filed away.

While I have an enormous amount of sympathy for the victims and victims familes in these cases, in a general sense my point of view is "America, you've made your bed, you gotta lie in it".

Am so sick of seeing shit all being actually done.

A "mass shooting" in America is defined as an incident where 4 or more people, including the shooter, are killed.
SO FAR THIS YEAR, there has been 307 of them. THREE HUNDRED AND ****ING SEVEN !!!
More than One a day...based on my quick mental calculation.
It would be a ****ed place to live, make no bones about it.

Nebraska is portrayed as a hick farming state outside of Omaha so that's an interesting one

All those states are pretty low on the population ladder so they have that statistical advantage.

California is nearly 40m people so even if 99.9% of the population are normal that still leaves 40,000 nutjobs.
