I have heard from several reliable sources that the cash AFL had for NSW/QLD has been dried up and more money will not be spent on development in these areas. Is this correct?
On the Central Coast, AFL has overtaken union as the 3rd biggest ball sport behind rugby league and soccer. But I think this may change if the cash dries up and with the union wc just around the corner union may get back it's 3rd possy.
Junior Numbers (approx.)
1996-
union- 450
AFL- 200
Rugby League- 2,000
Soccer- 6,000
2002-
union- 500
AFL- 550
Rugby League- 3,500
Soccer- 10,000
