Did anyone see Buchanan curl up like a ball [how cute!] in the first quarter against Geelong??? I heard it on the radio and saw it on the TV. They said that Mooney punched him in the stomache or something... hmmm? He wasn't seen doing it by the umpires. nor it was captured on TV, only saw footages of buchanan on the floor in pain... will mooney get reported?
 
Oh it was Mooney who did it? Thug, haha. But yeah, i didn't see the actual incident, just Amon after it. I was just glad when i saw him back in the action but he definately looked like he was in a bit of pain.

Saw the aftermath on the big screen. More to the point did anyone see Buchanan's bloody awful game. 18 possessions but 8 clangers and 2 frees against.

Horribly undisciplined, garbage football from him. Getting tagged and he cant handle it right now. Hope he learns from it.

as though i love buchanan [as a player] he was bloody awful. probably his worst this season, he was quiet and kept handballing it to the wrong people, e.g... umm..Geelong?

but for sure he'll learn from it...it's Amon! :D
 
On Sunrise this morning, on the bottom of the screen it said:
'Mooney will be facing his 4th suspension for the season after striking Sydney's Amon Buchanan'

I guess they did spot it! :) when will he learn?

Many more credentialled players than Monty have struggled initially when tagged. It is a sign that other coaches recognise that left unchecked he not only gets a lot of the ball but usually sets up a lot of play. I reckon he's a pretty smart player and he'll work out how to cope.

Yep, our warm and fuzzy leadership group should be able to cuddle him through tough times.
 
Lol, on SMH...it said that if Mooney does get suspended he'll go down in history! For being the first [or one of the 1st] to get suspended 4 times in one season... :D

Hey! he was resuming after a serious shoulder infection (reported as one of those nasty's like golden staf)... did well and showed guts to be out there at all! How would you like a Lmooney thump to the solar-plecsus?

Can't play brilliant games... every game..:confused:

You got that one wrong Corps. He resumed against Melbourne. I am a bit dubious about the golden staph bit too. Sounds like Roosey's version of Sheedy's flu. More likely Buchy has some other sort of nagging injury. Remember after the GF that it was revealed that a lot of our players were carrying injuries into the finals.

Dubious? Now you're just getting paranoid about everything Roos says. Most people don't enter hospital to be put on antibiotics for no reason whatsoever, you know.

But yeah, Buchy struggled with the tag, which seems to a result of the hard tag moving from B1 onto him. Jude seemed to have a much better game than in recent weeks.

And did anyone else notice that NOG seemed to get in the clear a lot more than in the past? Still had a few clearances where he just slammed it onto the boot from behind the ruck contest, but there were at least 2 occasions where he was able to run onto the ball and get free forward of the contest. Very encouraging.

I think you're forgetting how elaborate a ruse this would have been. Sheedy's Flu? You can hide that by keeping someone off the track. Inventing a week in hospital seems far too complicated a smokescreen to be bothering with.

Yep Nico I got it wrong on the resume date!.

Monty is no superstar but part of the success the club is having is theelevation of the impact of the lower or 2 tier players... so it just annoys me a little when on a fan forum there is emphasis on criticism without a positive or a balance...

eg from what I've seen RWO is just a bitch session and here ....it is deserted or a Nick Davis fantasyworld....and lacking in the sort of respectful (to players & team) discussion that takes place on other club boards. Sad cause there are a lot of good Swans posters who post on the main board!

Thanks for the label Corps. At least you had the decency to not call me a moron, fruit loop or fruitcake for my views. Bit like Betfair, for every opinion there is always an opposing one. Keep up the good work, I love reading your incisive, accurate and correct opinion on all issues. The world needs people who are always right.
