Alan Didak was a number 3 draft pick...what a joke, to think that players like Scot Burns was selected with pick 86 is sickening.......clearly Didak has not lived up to his reputation!!!
What do you think is he crap, overated, awsome?
I think he is one of the most over rated players in the AFL!!!

Koschitzke wasn't the winner of the rising star, Daniel Kerr was (in my view).

In the AFL, people still think he is an awesome player. But as a Collingwood supporter, i think he has to perform in a consistent way. I like the way he runs onto the field after spending the first quarter on the bench, but he doesn't do much up forward until the game is set up for a win.

5 goals against Hawthorn Round 19 2002 was something to wait for to see again. We still haven't seen it yet since. hopefully it is round 19, an aniversery is bearing against Brisbane, let's see what he can do.

That's your opinion, but I disagree.

I like Koschitzke. When he's not double over in pain, it is evident that he's going to be a very good football player. We never had an option of selecting him though, so I fail to see why this comparrison is relevant.

Had Didak have gone to St Kilda, your opinion of him would be very different. He'd be playing every game on the wing and getting about 20 quality posessions per game and kicking goals.

At Collingwood however, he's utilised as an impact player off the bench and generally played on a half-forward flank. He's done OK this year, although it is preferable in our opinion that he recaptures some Wizzer Cup form. He isn't getting game time like he was back then though.

It's hard to give him an overrated tag, when he's not getting as much time on the field as other players, for other teams, with varying degrees of midfield talent.

His skills however, can never be underrated. He's dripping with talent. I forsee him getting aerobically and physically stronger over the next few years and becoming a Licuria type with far superior finishing skills. He's going to be a very, very good football player!

Didak has kicked 25 goals this year, hes only 19-20 and has 10 years ahead of him, he is a class finisher and I would take him above most other one dimensional forward pockets as he has teh ability to play in midfield

Have patience

Didak has been good on occasion,Koschitzke does what st.kilda needs of him every week.He is tall and mobile with great hands. He is a much better player than Didak if comparing impact to a side.Didak isnt given the chances that Koschitzke has had at the saints. It would be interesting to see how he was rated in a dud side like the bulldogs, where he would get a go on the ball.Dids is exiting and im willing to give him another chance(we saw what he can do in the wizard cup).

Stupid post but i'll respond anyway.

Didak has been very dissapointing this year. He should be dropped and played on ball at Willie. He should stay there until he has 2 excellent games in a row. he needs to look at his game and lift his intensity. He has talent but if he doesn't get the ball what is the use of talent. having said that I think he has to be persevered with and he could be a fantastic player. he isn't in the best 22 at the moment and I'd drop him in search of a premiership 22.

Kosi is a completely different footballer and it is a stupid comparrison. Given a choice you should always take a KPP over a midfielder of similar quality. Kosi looks like he'll be a quality KPP and I'd love to have him at Collingwood. The only concern is his body. I am not sure it will stand up to AFL football. Given the choice today I'd swap Didak for Kosi without hesitation.

I think both show glimpses of promise but are over-rated as far as youngsters go. I do think Didak has that game winning X-Factor though, whilst Kositchke at best will be a solid hard working CHB for a long time.

Livingstone is a hack, and arent we loving it. (only early pick Carltons had in years..and they blew it..bad luck!)

Every young player is inconsistent at a certain time in there career. With 25 goals, that is a great effort considering that there is inconsistency in Dids. It would be good if he ends up with 30 for the season.

No Doubt but how many times does didak kick his goals when the game is over....
To a degree that is the coaches fault for not putting him on when the heat is on.
The fact is in 2 to 4 years time he will turn into a match winner for the pies.

Didak is an onballer and is being wasted on the HFF

I think Mark is right that he needs some games in the ressies on the ball

If you are not going to play him in the middle in the long term you should trade him.

Yeah sure, but he as enourmous tallent and some of the goals he kicks are truly insperational, MATCH WINNING
he cant do that while on the ball, alltough he was named on the ball in the 2001 AIS ALL AUSTRALIAN TEAM
