Digital TV Set Tops...

Just a question on Digital TV set top boxes.

If I have my analog TV with a set top digital box, is there an option on some boxes that lets me put my non-widescreen TV into letter-box format so it ends up being widescreen?

I think so, not 100% sure though. We've got a widescreen, so I can't really tell you. But there is an option for either 16:9, 4:3 or 4:3CC whatever that is.

Not sure if it would letterbox the 4:3 when it gets a 16:9 image or whatever.

Yeah, most should have that option, same as 99% of DVD players. Only trouble is that then some 4:3 material in the 16:9 broadcast will be "double" letterboxed, with space on all 4 sides of the screen
