Meet Dillon Viojo-Rainbow
After some soreness in his back, Viojo-Rainbow had scans that revealed a spinal defect. It was found he is missing bits of bone in his back, an abnormality he was encouraged to overcome with more pilates sessions, rehabilitation and management.

Viojo-Rainbow makes good decisions when in possession, and can also shift forward and use his damaging skills closer to goal.

He ranked highly for his endurance at last month's NAB AFL Draft Combine, running 11:04 for the 3km time trial and reaching level 14.4 in the beep test.

Dillon Viojo-Rainbow, Carlton’s second selection of the 2014 NAB AFL draft and, off the top, the Blues’ first footballer of Uruguayan origin.

A Geelong supporter for the most part, Viojo-Rainbow boasted a healthy relationship with one of Carlton’s recruiters (Michael Jordan) - “a bond which made me want to go to Carlton even more” as he put it, “and I’m just rapt to be there”.

Consistency key for lethal lefty and Western Jets star Dillon Viojo-Rainbow
Viojo-Rainbow underlined his versatility this year, starting across half-forward before moving to half-back in preparation for the championships.

After the carnival he moved to the midfield and “started to break games open through that area of the ground”.

“I haven’t had a pre-season in a while, so I probably don’t have the tank to run midfield,” Viojo-Rainbow said.

“But if I had a full pre-season under my belt I could probably break into the midfield and play four quarters through there. I’m probably better suited off half-back for now.”

Viojo-Rainbow also worked hard on his leadership this season, directing teammates in a bid to become a more well-rounded AFL prospect.

Doomed for failure with a name like that. Dillon Viojo rainbow, this cloud has no silver lining.

DVR has potential and will defently deliver after settling down. Don't expect too much for first couple of years, He'll be a player, what a great name.
Ciao
