not much more to say, how many basic skill errors can one team make (Richmond aside)
Anyone who thinks we are a monty for top 4 a kidding themselves.

I've stuck up for J fraser for too long now, he is Capital S for soft.

Ben Johnson should never play for collingwood again.

what the F8ck was Thomas doing kicking bananas every chance he got.

Marty Clarke has gone backwards.

and Dids (as good as he is) was terrible today.

Lockyer was McLeods direct opponent from what i can see and McLeod was running around like he was 22 again,

I COULD GO ON.

I agree with the bolded bits, but the rest are just wrong. Admittedly, the banana he tried to kick after taking that diving mark was a bad decision, but he assisted a goal with a perfectly waited one too. More often than not they pay off. It's part of his game.

Clarke played well today, just a couple of critical errors late in the game. Obviously it's easy to blame him for the loss but one error doesn't make him a bad player, even if it was a costly one.

Lockyer wasn't McLeod's opponent; in fact I don't think anyone was for the first chunk of the game. The first quarter McLeod was playing as a loose man, and it was our fault for not putting anyone on him.

You're right about Ben Johnson though. Just not an AFL standard footy player and Fraser's just a constant disappointment. His best is great but his worst is downright shocking. Ben Reid failed to impress me yet again also.

Clarke was ok today, but he is not getting better as a footballer.

Thomas tried 4 bananas today and one of them came off, not percentage football IMO

Agree to dis agree, i think Lockyer was McLeods man and they were just playing off one another, which should have changed once Mcleod got his first 5 touched in the first 6 mins.

*facepalm*

Firstly, Marty Clarke's run and carry and 2 goals kept us in the game when the crows had all the momentum.

Thomas was one of our best. Like Marty, his sheer brilliance brought about goals which lead to momentum shifts (for the positive).
 
You guys are forgetting last year!

We've always done this. We're asleep one round or one half of the match then the next week we'll go win by 50 points.

This consistency needs to be worked on if we're being intent on anywhere near top 6. I thought it would've been addressed with the preseason but obviously not.

It will be disgraceful if we loose next week however!
 
you are missing my point, it wasn't the time for highlight reel stuff, it was time for knuckle down percentage football.

And we won't beat them either if our guys think the game is over before the first bounce. We are not as good as our players seem to think they are and the commentators talking up the Pies as a final four side doesn't help.

What's needed is a committed effort by all our team and a midfield that can compete.

still a long way to go in the season, the coaching staff need to take a long hard look at Reid Johnson an Toovey not good enough to play AFL time to unleash Beams Sidebottom and bring in Rocca next week:thumbsu:
 
Disgraceful is not the right word for it .... That was Richmond with a capital D!!!!

Disappointing maybe but not disgraceful.
