PC Divinity: Original Sin

Grabbed this day 1, loving it (on ps4). Have seriously spent hours doing nothing, yet the time passes so quick while playing this.

Only criticism so far is the inventory management (which I hear has been a thing since the PC version), and the movement speed while traversing the world.

Otherwise, loving it, can see myself wasting way too much time in this world. Dialogue and dialogue choices have been superior to nearly any other game I've played.

I think I'll wait until some of the big up coming games are out of the way then pick this up then. I have it on PC and enjoyed what I have played but I just can't be stuffed sitting in front of the computer playing games anymore. Would rather kick my feet up in the lazboy in front of the TV. How do the controls translate from KB/M point and click to a controller though?

Controls are ok once you learn them and get the hang of it. I can imagine people picking it up and giving up quite quickly for a variety of issues like the UI (especially inventory), controls among other things.

Personally, I like it, but I found myself wishing for a KB/M about 10 hours in.

Mate has been trying to get me to play this for ages and I finally caved in and bought it.

This is the best game I have played in years.

Very rich world, deep gameplay. I like that it doesn't hold your hand at all, steepish learning curve.

I'm going through co-op with my mate, running a marksman build, on normal difficulty.

Also doing another solo game with dual lone-wolf, wizard and battlemage, on the 2nd hardest difficulty.

About 52 hours in on PS4, and a lot to go I'm assuming. Great old school longevity based RPG. When you consider many new games have 10-20 hour campaigns now you absolutely get your monies worth with incredibly deep, tactical games like this one. Can't wait to play the second one, but might have a break in between with something a little more action orientated. Although I love turn based stuff, 150+ hours of playing the same turn based style combat after 2 games might get a bit repetitive when playing the games consecutively.

Very valid critisicism. Also playing on the PS4 and navigating between characters menus because there is no shared inventory is a bit annoying, especially when trying to find a certain item or weapon. Also "repairing gear" is a bit of a nothing time waster feature. I have never not been able to repair my gear so all it does is add a weird layer that adds nothing to strategy. It's not as if it adds a strategy element by limiting your ability to repair gear forcing you to make choices.
