MS35
Debutant
Another good week of finals coming up in Division 1.
looking forward to getting the real meaning of what I post.
Wandin vs Upwey.
Once again, the dominance of Hedge and heindrich through the middle will be a large factor.
Both sides are used to playing on the smaller ground so no factor with size.
Upwey tall backs will need to play a little smaller this week, some creative forwards at Wandin who when on a roll are tough to stop.
Chapman on a wing will be hard at it, if Upwey are getting hands on the footy cleanly, his hard aggressive footy will be nullified and the wandin peripheral players will need to tighten up turn the game to a contested style which will not suit them.
Not sure if porter is playing, if he is, it will be a huge plus. Even with limited games this year, he knows how to play footy, he also is vocal and helps the Upwey forward line set up better.
Upwey by 11 points, Hedge BOG and Sheers to be close behind.
Expect a good spead of goal kickers from Upwey, especially smalls.
Now for the main event, Woori and Gembrook.
This will be an interesting game, how far have gembrook come and what effect has losing last 2 grand finals had. As good a year as they have had, Woori and Upwey are looming large threats.
Craig clarke will dominate the stoppages and Ricky Clark his go to. Woori have has success in tagging ricky and it will be interesting to see if AJ and Williams can gain the ascendancy in the middle. Both use the ball really well and williams gives the ball a huge thump. Woori on the other hand have such good leg speed, the gembrook back line play very tight and rely heavily on Big Red to create a turn over so they can then peel off. A big key for the day will be Wooris efforts to drag him out of the play, easier said than done. Don't write off woori, still full of talent and some great experience with that young group of goers.
Gembrook by 2 points if windy . Walker BOG and Woori by 5 points if no wind. Witowski BOG
Take that as sitting on the fence.
