I may be way of the mark here but i don't think this game will be the blow out that you all tip. Talking to a sponsor from Wandin during the week, they are fitter and more experinced than last year and will be fielding and under 18 team for the 1st time in 3 or 4 years. Wandin for me by 3 goals.

This week:

H-Bloods v Green Machine - Some positive movement at Mountain Rd in the off-season sees Moin tipping an upset with the Brookers getting up by 3 goals at the Don Rd paddock.
Bulkers v O-Bloods - An easy opener for the Hawks this week, however Olinda always put up a good fight at Monbulk. Bulkers by 6 goals.
Mounties v Upwey - MounEv will improve again this season but will have to improve from an early spanking. The good news for Upwey is they get to play at Mt Ev before the winter/mud sets in. Upwey by 12 goals.
Catzzzz v Burras - Warby ran Silvan all day here last year in a shootout and that was before the recession, so the Burras will be looking forward to a day out this week. I'm worried this could be a blow-out. Warby by 15 goals.

Monbulk - Olinda's young guns will cause some headaches, but the Hawks at home.
Upwey - Who else?? Mounties will be thereabouts, though.
Healesville - slow to go in the off-season, but then flew. They should upset the Brookers. Will be a clinker given recent history.
Warby - Only because they look a bit more settled. A lot of interest in this one.

Round 1 tips;

Healesville in a close one over the vasty improved Gembrook Cockatoo.
Monbulk to welcome Olinda FC back to Division 1 with a good win.
Upwey Tecoma in a close one over Mount Evelyn who could cause an upset.
Warburton Millgrove over Silvan - would not surprise if the Cats won though.

Brookers v Wandin - Wandin battled well 2 weeks ago, but the Brookers have got off to a big start and will win easy
Woori v MtEv - poor old MtEv copped the bad draw, but did ok last week. will be valiant again this week and will get done by a few goals.
Warby v H'ville - Burras in another upset at home
Upwey v Monbulk - another strange start time (2.40pm) on a huge day at upwey. Upwey too strong and look for a dodgy decision in the last qtr in upwey's favour in front of the rooms late in the game... nothing sinister - just an ex-upwey club ressies umpire trying to score a free beer for after the game

Why change your tune now Moin re Silvan, thought you said they would be relegated after round 6?

Correct. In conjunction with the local RSL there will be a short commemoration ceremony before the seniors, with the last post played and the traditional minutes silence. To accommodate this we requested permission from the league to push our start time back by 15 minutes. Thanks to Wandin FC and the Umpires for agreeing to be a part of this.
