Does anyone do Database Programming at Uni???

I am trying to get a Database together for my cricket club and have been recommended to get a Uni Student to try and put one together as one of their Uni Assignments. Can anyone put me in contact with someone who might be willing to have a crack at it.

Yes I'm doing an assignment now using databases in SQL and programming in JAVA, I've got a sh*t load of assignments tho..

What sort of database are you after .. like what categories etc etc

We only need something simple, but it could become complex if someone needed to make it more complicated (ie attach it so that the website is automatically updated etc).

Basically I just need something to calculate career stats (games, runs, innings, wickets, catches etc) for everyone. I'd be prepared to do all the data input. I currently do everything on Excel, which is great for doing one season, but when I start combining different teams in different grades over different seasons, the formulae start getting a bit complicated. People I work with who know Access think that it is pretty straight-forward, but none of us have time, so I was hoping to find a Uni student who needs to set up a fully intergrated Database as a Uni assignment who could take the project on.

In terms of which program, I don't mind - just as long as it is easy to enter the data in, and it gives me the reports I need...

Yea it does sound pretty straight forward.

I could do it, but I dont really have the time, and I am not a UNI student doing databases

You poor bastards. Especially kingortheking. I can't fathom the level of bull**** you must have to put up with using a database with Java.
