Just a quick question for anyone who works in cabling Data/Phone Communications (or knows about it).
If I want to run a long-ish phone cable around the edge of a room from one room to another, what are the little clips you can use to secure the cable to the carpet/bottom of the wall called?
Would somewhere like Tandy (or other electronic shops) have them?
The problem is that there are no 'runners' between the wall and the carpet to attach them to, so I assume I will need some sort of 'pin' device to stick into the carpet next to the wall.
The reason I ask is, I've just moved into a new building, and to get an extra phone line in, basically Telstra would need to rip up all of the carpet to reach the other point (errr, no thanks!), so I have 'acquired' a 20m phone cable to run alogside the wall, and hopefully not look to conspicuous.
Any ideas?
