My wife works for a direct selling company and she has sold enough product to earn us 2 free flights with accom to the states this july . Does this count as a bonus / gift and have to be declared to centrelink or the ATO? Cheers

Assuming she is an employee of the company and the tickets therefore represent a fringe benefit provided by her employer, it will not be assessable (i.e. no tax payable) but will be disclosed in her tax return if total fringe benefits for the year are greater than around $3500. She should ask the finance team at work because they should be able to let her know
