Read an article in the age today, http://www.theage.com.au/realfooty/news/features/its-that-time-again/2007/03/28/1174761563434.html which contained this little snippet

Michael King account manager, Port Melbourne, 26
I've done footy tipping for at least 10 years, through family and work. I watch footy a lot during winter so tipping just adds a bit more interest to the game.

I've won absolutely nothing over the years. I don't know why, maybe I over analyse it or am biased towards my team, Geelong. My brother Steven plays for Geelong
Tips with family, brother plays (and was captain) for Geelong

Has this guy ever wondered why he loses the comptetion when one of his co-tippers plays and can influence results?

Now I'm not saying Steven is throwing matches just because of some sort of petty sibling rivalry, but you only to have look at the whitnall's to see how far brothers can go. It makes you wonder.

When will the AFL step in and put a halt to this heinous activity? Appoint a tipping Tsar now!

Does tipping count as gambling? Tipping no, but money becomes involved yes. School classes aren't meant to run footy tipping competitions where children pay to be involved and the prize involves money because it is a form of gambeling.

That was a good article!
