Dawson was recruited in 2016 and played no AFL that year. I was at the SF and Rory did very well against Grundy to my eye. He was also a better ruck than Mummy in 2017, with Mummy's ankle, in my opinion

But yeah Dawson has the inside running for the number 1 ruck spot in 2019, in Rory's absence.

I agree a fit Dawson will probably start the year next year. Mummy should be drafted again and they would rotate i would expect. I doubt either can play 22 games and im not sure we could play both in the same team.
