Why is it that as a once proud club that wouldn’t accept anything less then success, all of a sudden we are accepting of mediocre performances at best. All I seem to hear is that “we don’t have the cattle”. “Worst list in the comp” and “lack of confidence” is the reasons for the predicament we find ourselves in today.

I posted many “anti pagan” threads early on in my BF journey. Was shouted down by many of you who said that pagan hasn’t had enough time to get his game plan and message across to the players. Now that we are almost half way through the season, with only two wins on the board, and not looking like we’ll be adding to that tally. I’m sue you are all happy with the path the club has chosen, and will continue to use the excuse that we don’t have the cattle on the field.

With another spoon headed towards our once proud club and with it the PP, hopefully this excuse will cease and you will all see the true reason for our predicament. PAGAN.

It’s no wonder his players don’t take responsibility for their performances, when they have a coach who shirks his responsibilities.

.I think that you have all become accustomed to losing, and until we as supporters snap out of this the club will continue on it’s down hill spiral.

I await the barrage of abuse that will be hurled at me by many of you out there in the BF community

tend to agree. Pagan has to take at least 80% of the responsibilty. He was alright taking all the plaudits at the start of the year when we won the Wizzie. Same side, ******** game plan and results. Time to wake up and smell the coffee.

WOW i'm surprised you'd say that. Other coaches take responsibility for their teams performances but not PAGAN. His past record is the only reason the media hasn't turned against him. This unfortunately doesn't seem to help players with a past records, Eg (Campo).

We need new blood, young but talented. I'd like to see the likes of maybe bradles, ratts or even diesel but they have other commitments at the moment. I’d like Someone who is willing to take a chance, not stuck in his ways like pagan is.

By him saying that we have to flood because we don't have the talent is not helping the confidence of his players.

feel free to tell us how/what you would do to improve our current situation.

For starters i wouldn't have resigned PAGAN. But that's just me. Firstly no more rejects. This was our biggest mistake. Bargains can be found at the lower end of the draft. Case in point...... Grant and more recently, i think davey was overlooked in the main draft, and then picked up in the pre-season.

A new game plan that suits our players would also be high on my agenda, instead of try to mould a plyer into something is is clearly not.

Kicking to space to allow our frwd's to lead into the mark rather then bombing in and expecting Fev and whits to mark the ball when they are being spoilt by 2 or three opposition players, and then blaming whits cause he couldn't mark the bloody thing.

I don't pretend to know the answers to carltons predicament, but a new game plan is a good starting point.

I agree... instead of drafting bad players we should draft champions with our late picks.

If that's what you read out of my post then i guess i didn't express myself correctly. What i meant was that a bargin can be found with a late pick, of course we'd have to give the youngster a chance, and by picking up rejects we are not doing that and as a result we'd never know. Will we??

I think we need to get rid of: Simpson, Prendergast, Whitnall, Sporn, Wiggins, Clarke, Bowyer, Bannister, Davies and Norman. I know that is alot of players but they are all useless. Whitnall is too slow and he needs to change the way he plays or he's gawn. And the other plays havn't won us a game yet since they came to the club. We have quite a few duds in our team

While I agree with playing the flood I don't agree with the constant talk about lack of cattle/talent etc. You can't tell a group of players to play aggressive and confident football whilst making reference to their lack of talent. If I was a player who had been recycled, and Pagan said the team lacked talent and was punished too severely through the draft...I would know those comments are directed at me and I would loose self belief. You can't say the footy is 90% above the shoulders and that effort is all that matters in one sentence and then in the next make players feel like they can't succeed no matter how hard they try by saying they lack talent. He may think his side lacks talent but you shouldn't go saying this publicly...the only possible positive outcome is that these recycled players get so scared of getting delisted that they play harder...but I think players who are confident and think they will improve rather than scared players will play to their fullest potential.

you don't need to be talented to have a dip and put in 100% each week

But you do need a coach with a brain, who doesn't go around saying that his team is crap. And that that's the reason why they are loosing, and that the footy public shouldn't and can't possibly expect the team to perform well considering the lack of talented players he has in his team. (Excuse wearing thin)

If your coach doesn't believe in your ability, how the hell are you supposed to build confidence into your game??

Add Johnson to your list.

Don't agree with Davies and Simpson, and I'm still not sure about Whitnall.

Davies and Simpson are only young and need more time to prove themselves, and I don't see the point of getting rid of Lance for nothing, if we could get a first round pick I probably would.

Norman looks injured at the moment. I will wait till the end of the year before I pass judgment on him.
