at round 17, hes on 12, with akermanis on 17.

he should get at least 5, probably 6 for the two wins. move him to 18 - might move him into top 3.

wont get any for rounds 20 and 21

should get 1 and might get 2 for round 22

will end up on at least 18, maximum 20, which i dont think is enough to win it.

but a great effort nonetheless

Fantastic effort by Cuzz, had he been on the winning side a bit more no doubt he would have polled the 5 votes he required to catch up to Ackermanis.

Undoubtedly one of the best players in the AFL now. And to think people were reluctant to call him a star at seasons start.

Yep a fantastic effort. To get that close after his team only won 5 games and to not even poll any votes in 2 of our 5 wins and then for the Eagles to be thrashed like we did so many times its amazing that he got that close.

After round 4 when he didnt get any votes for our 2 wins in round 3 and 4 i thought he was gone, i only thought he was a chance because he would get 2 or 3 votes in all our wins.

Top effort Ben, may aswell win it next year

Personally, I don't think we needed to win any more games, in a couple of games we got thrashed he could have got votes, if we had only not lost by as much, so instead they gave the votes to 3 players from the thumping team. Just 4-5 of those games we lot by more than 60, if we'd only lost by 20-40, I think he would have had a REAL chance, but, Congrats to Akermanis on Winning it, just means Cous will have to win it next year

Didn't Cousins have a really good game against St Kilda in Round 4, but they gave Peter Matera 2 votes after Troy Wilson got the 3? Hmm, still a very good effort! If we had more wins or closer losses we could of had our first Brownlow winner!

Who cares if he didn't win the brownlow, he has already won the biggest individual award of them all, the eagles B&F

End of the day, we all know Cuzz is the best player in the AFL. If only the same could be said about the eagles on-field performances

Perfect example was the Port game.

He should've at least got 1 vote for that game, but its very hard for the umps to give it when the team loses by 112.

Yes, i can remember at the end of the first derby that it would either go to Cuz or Banners, i leaned towards Banners cos he kicked 3 goals to go with his 20 odd possies. But i was surprised last night when he didnt get a vote in the first derby.
