I disagree, he was in the Bees reserves for most of last year, played a few games for the seniors. Not even close to a call up.
small setup works great when the midfield is dominating and gets crucified when the midfield is under the pump. No tall or long options means no plan B.
We can play doogs CHF and murphy half forward flank. Doogs will take contested marks that murph would drop, and I actually think that doogs is a better chance to recover from a dropped mark than murph, from the little I have seen so far.

Hopefully he can provide enough of a contest to give our surplus small fowards (robbins, higgins, giansircusa, akermanis, cooney et al) the crumbing opportunities they deserve. Johnno will still be our top goal kicker. If Doogs consistently presents and contests, then he is well worth a place in our 22

It's called 'Doogs in the twilight'
Doogs' start hasn't been the best
but he is still better than Michael West
His great goal was my highlight
in that horrible game played in twilight
He then dropped an easy mark
and with himself he seemed a little dark
So Droogs it's time to get behind your man
to make him believe he truly can
