Just wondering how much faster your downloads actually go at?

Currently I download at about 4.5k/s, how much would I be going if I get the accelerator.

I currently use Download Accelerator Plus.

Accelerators don't really speed up your downloads, at least nothing noticeable. They are good mainly as its easy to stop and resume your downloads as you see fit as well as line up a whole list of stuff and download it over a period of time.

Well i have cable ... and my download speed with FlashGet increases by about 70% It downloads in smaller segments that increase you transfer rate. I couldn't give you an exact figure on the improvement ... but you could always try it for yourself and if you don't like it ... simple uninstall it.

yepp... i use 'Download Accelerator'..

as daddy4eyes said...
i dont see it as accelerating downloads... more of it as a 'download manager'...
the primary reason why i use it is to pause/resume downloads, put a whole bunch of stuff on the 'get' list, and leave it to download while i go do something else...

u could try other good download managers like getright, gozilla, etc.. but, download accelerator works fine for me ~

Why bother. Morphues downloads stuff fast enough for me. I don't have cable yet. If I need something huge, I'll get it off uni's T3 connection.
