For the sheer amount of typos in your post, I'm tempted to ignore it out of principle!!

But anyway. One should always buy the CD if you can afford it. Some of it DOES eventually filter back to the artist (after the record company takes their huge share), and you're able to control the quality.

I do download music, but usually only as a preview. If I like it, I'll buy the CD and re-rip the songs at a higher bitrate for my iPod.

Do a bit of research, it's certainly not hard to find places where you can illegally obtain almost anything electronically.
