I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do.

I found a few ''best of'' with comments for you , hope you enjoy

1. Silvia's Mother
3. Makin' It Natural
5. Carry Me, Carrie
8. Queen Of The Silver Dollar
9. Cover Of The Rolling Stone
10. Freakin' At The Freaker's Ball

These songs are from their early years. You can find these songs on the Hooked album( yes I only have the vinyl) all these songs are great ... Carry Me Carrie and Queen of the Silver Dollar are great ballads about people they knew.

Freaking at the Freakers Ball is a rollicking ride through perversion..great mixture of lyrics

Dr Hooks Greatest Hits came out in 1992 and if you want adefinitive Dr Hook get this

They were like a gay version of Del Amitri but not as good songs, catchy nonetheless
I remember them on the Don Lane show in the early 80s

I thought they were awful. Then I saw them on the Don Lane Show after their concert one night and they were so funny that I went to get tickets for the next night.

We had a ball, they were so entertaining. We told all our friends and everyone went to see them the next time they came along.

Way better in concert

Well I've got more money than a horse has hair and my rich old uncle died and answered all my prays.

One of the most underrated bands ever.:thumbsu:
