from 17 picks only 5 are still on our list. not a very good strike rate. tuck would be the only one of the 5 in our top 10 on the list. intresting to see how many from 2004 - 2007 will still be around in 5 trs time. i can think of a few who shouldnt be there now.

This has been done before Tiger03 and many of us call it Spud's legacy.

Yes, it ends up like having draft penalties during those years. Funny how Richmond and Carlton are in similar positions now. The guys from that era should be the backbone of the club now. This is what TW has been saying since the year he took over. We are coming from a long way back.

Hawthorn were both shrewed and clever (and lucky) for getting 2 top 10 draft picks for Hay (gee how did they do that) and Thompson and for getting priorities again in 2005 when we over achieved and got choice 8 or 9. They also had Hodge (top pick 2001) and Mitchell to build the core of a good midfield around, and picked Franklin (with their second choice) who could have bombed out (psych wise) but has become a superman/superstar instead.

its draft day that buggers us up theyre experts at gettig it wrong hopefully we have rectified that problem.

Don't be sorry mate , you have other people all over this site calling for Wallace's head and you have summed up in 1 thread why Wallace has been pushing s*&t up hill and was given a 5 year contract. The club is being rebuilt from the ground up and it takes time. I still expect us to get a sniff of the finals this year if we have a good run with injuries though.

Give it a rest FFS.
This topic has been done to death..
Well what would you like to talk about then , its these draft picks that have screwed the pooch imo and you seem to be a bit touchy on the subject, Maybe you were a scout for Frawley and had a hand in these picks mate. Next your gonna say Petifer is Frawleys legacy to the RFC.

Pettifer has the heart of a lion and could seriously be a future prime minister.
Dont you worry about our draft picks...... If you listen to this board they are all mindas.
Pettifer though..... what a fine example of an AFL footballer:cool:
