Hey all

For those who have had the opportunity to go to training... are their any reports on how our new recruits are looking, how they are fitting it??? I've heard some good stuff about how the team is looking, but not much on the new kids.

Mitch Thorp mostly did one on one with a trainer and later did some hand skills and ruck rover drills with a small group including Ben Dixon and Robbie Campbell. He looks very confident and skillfull, good shape physicaly too. Most of the other guys were on the other side of the field doing running drils etc. I could'nt really see any individual standouts, except that Ben McGlynn was sprinting quicker than almost anyone else. Overall the whole team trained really well, can't friggin wait for the season!!!!!!!!!:thumbsu:

I was at training today and matt little (i think) did his ankle looked like a pretty bad sprain, not really sure but might effect his preseason, does anyone have any more info

I had to leave at 10:30. Did this happen after that? Was he carried off? By the way, where was Crawf??

I have been going through the threads to try and find out how Ben McGlynn was training. This is great to hear.

Not sure when it happened but there was definiately something wrong with his ankle. He came to the boundary and a trainer was looking at it, he was limping, dont think he was carried off, but was probably supported. Crawf had the day off to buy horse, few people mentioned it and asked Bateman and he confirmed, said that crawf had started preseason earlier to make up the time

f you look at HFC082's photo's of today's session, he's wearing the fluro yellow shirt (the only one out of uniform basicly).:thumbsu:

yep, that's the "yellow jersey" for best trainer - a bit of tour de france flavour there. great to see benny's busting his chops though - he's determined to make the most of his opportunity on an AFL list, and that's fantastic.

and speaking of draftees - jesus christ josh kennedy is a big unit for 18. hawthorn hasn't seen juvenile thighs like that since trent croad. the difference is that josh is massive across the back too - he's just a mammoth unit. as long as they keep his weight at a level that retains his mobility, in a couple of years we're going to have a bloke who is very very difficult to hustle out of position.
