Draftees

Looks like a handy footballer. I liked his comment regarding the Swans, and how he'd love to play 200+ games for us. I am glad to see new draftees showing some loyalty.

Schmidt also looks like the likely type, and has a bit of bulk of him. I guess he is a chance to play next season.

Eriksson won't play for 2-3 years IMO. Very thin but apparently athletic.

Davis... who the hell knows. I know I would love a 190cm athletic midfield .. hold on .. .Goodes ... lets hope

Buchanan .. nice to see the kid get another shot, hopefully he makes the most if it.

All in all a promising draft...I agree Willoughby and Schmidt look the standouts but I have a good feeling about Davis

This year we also have the likes of McVeigh, Malceski, Thewlis and Dempster who could get a taste of senior footy...and hopefully Sundqvist, Powell, Ablett, Buchanan etc will step up

But watch out for a fit Ben Fixter...virtually a new recruit this year and had a great finish to 2002 under Roosy

Ben Fixter will give us added depth in the midfield and defense, will be a great addition to our side.

I am really looking forward to seeing Dempster have a run in the seniors. I think he could have a really big year next season.

I saw him play in a ACTAFL match for the Redbacks. He was at full back.

I was VERY VERY impressed.

I actually find it hard to name dead wood kids on our list, which I think is a fine sign for the future.

I believe it's great we drafted a couple of midfielders in Schmidt and Willouhby to add with McVeigh from last year, should be an exciting time at the club
