Can somone please tell me the dates of both the preseasone daft and the national draft. Also I would like to find the most informative Phantom draft on the internet, if you could help me with that I would appreciate it.
thanks poeples

National Draft - November 23
Pre-Season Draft - December 16

There are plenty of phantom drafts on the trading board, however whether they're informative or accurate purely comes down to the interpretation, obviously.

Last year the AFL website constructed a phantom draft which wasn't entirely accurate anyway, so there goes the whole issue of informative... nevertheless, I suspect they'll be doing it again this year. It should be up within the next 3 - 5 days just in time for the draft ;)

From a Geelong perspective, I think it will be quite a boring read, actually. There's this perception floating about that we're in great need of talls, and whilst I don't dispute this fact, if you look at our trading and list as a whole, we already have an incredibly tall-timbered list. Most phantom drafts I have seen have overlooked this fact, and simply opted for giving us Troy Chaplin. Personally, I'm not a really big fan of Troy as he's a year younger than your average draftee and requires at least 3 years of extensive weight training before he can take the field.

Also, if guys like Dyson, Dunn and Tenace slip through to pick #7, which is looking very possible I might add, then Geelong would be insane to overlook them for a tall such as Fergus Watts or Troy Chaplin.

EDIT: Personally however, I have been scouting around in the outback territories and states of Australia, and I am eagerly awaiting our annual 'smokey' selection ;)

Spot on Seb. If Tenace, Ray, or Clarke are still available then we should take them. The only way I would take a tall is if Bradley slipped through to 7. We need pure class rather than more quantity in our talls. I'm sure we will get one with #22. Other than that I think we should target skillfull players this year with pace. Guys to complement Bartel, Chappy, Ling and Corey in the middle. Guys like Nash from SA.

As you said the 'smokey' is always a possibility with us. Bill Morrison would have to be classified as a smokey as he didn't play this year. Also the Cats are keen on Dyson so Wells might even pluck him if he doesn't think he will get to 22.

Dream draft #7 K. Bradley, # 22 R. Dyson, #38 Blake, #42 J. Nash
Will never happen but would be the ideal mix of quality players. Both Dyson and Nash have sensational skills and speed. Kepler seems to be slipping of late and if the WB take Ray at 4 which they are a big chance to do it could come down to weather Ess take Clarke or Bradley. I reckon they would chose Clarke.
