Well the dream combination of McGrath, Gillespie,Lee & Warne has had a couple of run outs & is looking pretty ominous.
Short of prayer what can the English batsmen do to counter them?
Is taking them on the way to go or is mere survival gonna be hard enough with out meeting them head on?

Personally I reckon the only way is to be ultra positive but certainly against McGrath I know this is easier said than done.

I heard a whisper that the Poms where waiting for the Aussies to go out of their respective hotel balconies and hurl VB cans at them. 8-)

Hussain and Atherton will try and defend against our bowlers and this will get them out. Neither have the ability to be ultra-aggressive. Thorpe and Trescothik are the ones that may take it up to us, but I think Thorpe is still not as fit as he would like and Trescothik seems to be heading into a bad patch after that brilliant century in the one-dayers.

I think McGrath is set for a huge series, and if the English dont take it up to him he will take them apart. He doesnt have the quickness of others like Lee and Shaoib but has to be the best strike bowler in the world right now. He has great line and length and doesnt bowl that many bad balls. I think he could be the man to take out player of the series.
