Ok, this isn't exactly a controversial topic, I just wanted to say how great it is that Banners is playing his 150th game this weekend.
The guy is one of the most underated in the league (my opinion only!), and the real force of the Eagles. Kemp, Cuz & Matera do the flashy stuff, but it's Banners that gets the ball out to them. Onya Drew. He's all-heart, has a great work ethic and is busy in the engine room, as well as any other well worn cliches I can think of, but they're all true.
BTW/ I heard that he is the first No1 draft pick to play 150. How long has the draft been in effect? He was picked up in 92. And does that stat refer to 150 games total, or at one club? It just seemed pretty amazing, and goes to prove that investing in slow developers brings long term results.
