Hey guys, I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is staying in Dubrovnik in about a month. She's having trouble finding a hostel where you just rent a single bed, most of the ones she's found so far are private where you rent the entire room.

Anyone know of any that you can recommend? Or a site that might help, been Googling but just getting donuts currently.

Thanks in advance.

There's a place in the old town called Fresh Sheets, a bit pricey at €28 but seems like a great location. I'm probably going to book a bed there for a few days in August and there's already plenty of days booked out, so may be tricky to get a bed for the summer months.

Dubrovnik doesn't really have any hostels. Accom is expensive, even budget accom, but on the plus side you don't need to stay there as long as you would other major cities to see everything. I reckon a full day is enough.

Nearby Mostar in Bosnia is stupidly cheap and is simply stunning, stay there and commute into Dubrovnik perhaps.

Anyway, hostelworld.com is the best site for hostels. If it isn't there, it isn't worth staying at.
