Downloading DVD's?

Or are you downloading avi's? DVD's, being quite large aren't often downloaded. Just treat avi's , mpgs etc just as ordainary files.

Maybe you have a problem with audio codes? Can you play mp3's normally?

DVD Shrink won't get rid of copyright, but if you decrypt it first with DVD Decrypter, that usually gets rid of those problems.

I don't now really what you mean in your reference to nero express etc, I don't have a problem with it. Maybe you should write your problem again, but this time, try to be alot clearer with what the problem is.

If you are downloading the DVD (vob files), you are looking upwards of 4GB...
if you are simply transcoding avi files (divx etc) into DVD format, it would most probably be a codec problem.
Search for the AC3 codec. That may fix a few problems.

Thanx, that's much clearer. It won't be a copyright issue, DVD shrink would tell you that straight away.

When you used DVD shrink did you leave all of the audio boxes ticked or some or none? You may find the audio boxes on the right under compression settings may have defaulted to be unticked.

When you played the DVD on the drive with picture but no sound, were you able to access the menu system to select different audio, and if you did, what happened?

Does the original DVD work just fine in the same drive?

Have you tried playing the burnt DVD in a stand-alone DVD player?
