e-AFL Round 4 - Hawthorn vs Sydney at the MCG
Welcome to this Round 4clash of BigFooty's very own, inaugural 2020 e-AFL Premiership Season. With the real season in limbo, our team will be recreating the terminated AFL season in a series of simulated games over the coming weeks, in a jam-packed, action-filled series of 153 games plus a finals series.
These are simulated games, using the names of AFL players, but all teams have an equal chance. There is as much hope for Suns supporters as there is for the West Coast fans of a premiership at the end. There is no home ground advantage, and the weather conditions are random but do affect the type of game.
The sim program also gives votes towards a Brownlow Medal for each game, which will be compiled and a winner announced during finals.
With so little else on, sit back and cheer your e-AFL team to victory.
For all the people new to Qooty, the simulation does have its quirks.

- There are no ball-ups or boundary throw ins
- A line of text often carries over after the siren to the next quarter. But in the final quarter, it doesn't matter if the ball is in the air when the siren sounds, the game ends.
- It is not impossible to kick a goal from the wing
- Brownlow votes are generated by the program, and stored off-site to be revealed at end-of season.

Competitions - 2020 e-AFL season - Round 11 vs St Kilda this Saturday!
Hi everyone, With the unfortunate but necessary postponement of the AFL season for at least 60 days, it's been decided that we will run a simulated AFL season on the main AFL board using the Qooty program created by the legendary Mobbs. The program is a text based AFL simulator, an example of...

Prediction - 2020 AFL Season Simulation on the MB - Sydney Team
Hey all, So while we've got no footy for the next 10 weeks Chief , SFA Admin Ant Bear and co. have put together a simulation of the 17 round AFL season using a program called Qooty. You may have seen something like it in SFA tour games or that time sataris did a preview thread vs the Bye...

Match preview
A victory-less Sydney will travel to the MCG to take on undefeated league leaders Hawthorn. Sydney held Essendon until half time of their clash last round until Essendon came out strongly in the second half to run away with it. Hawthorn fought out a valiant 6 point wins against bitter rivals Geelong to stay undefeated and to end the round atop of the inaugural e-AFL ladder.
Who's hot?
Hawthorn
Jonathan Ceglar
The main man in the ruck for Hawthorn Ceglar won 15 taps as he collected 22 touches. He was arguably man of the match with 2 tackles and a goal and a behind. Finishing with 87 DT points it was a very impressive performance from the big man.
Liam Shiels
The silky midfielder wound up with 21 touches and 2 goals as he controlled the midfield in Hawthorn's victory. With 78 DT points and 2 marks Shiels is in red hot form.
Sydney
Sam Gray
The former Port Adelaide cult hero has enjoyed the start to his simulated career with the Swans. He had a very handy 19 disposals in Sydney's last game as he took 6 marks in the previous game. He's in great touch.
Isaac Heeney
Heeney had an absolutely massive game in the middle finishing with 17 touches and a whopping 8 marks. He finished the game with a further 2 tackles and a goal.
Who's not?
Hawthorn
Jack Gunston
Gunston ended up with 3 touches and a goal in a very hard fought game. With only a mark and 50% accuracy his spot will certainly be on the line if he doesn't lift.
Luke Bruest
Another forward in poor form. Bruest had 2 marks and 2 touches giving away a free kick as he went on to finish goalless. It'll be surprising if he keeps his spot.
Sydney
Ben Ronke
Ronke had 5 touches and 2 marks for no goals and virtually no positive output. His spot is certainly at risk and he needs to really lift.
Jake Lloyd
The half back had 6 touches and a singular tackle as Sydney lost to Essendon, if Lloyd can increase his output Sydney will improve as a team. He's a great player and really improves the team.
Prediction: Hawthorn to keep their undefeated streak going and win comfortably against a shaky Swans. Hawthorn by 56
