Possible PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain will be shown at E3.

For anyone who has seen this game it looks simply amazing, probably the most photorealistic graphics to date, unfortunatly all that has been shown is a little snippet, which didn't explain anything, not many details have been released as of yet, but it comes from the makers of Indigo Prophecy(Made by Quantic Dream).

This is all the info I could get on the game:
Source: http://kotaku.com/366150/new-heavy-rain-details-spilled-lapped-up
On Locations:
"I don't want to do a big free-roaming city like GTA, because the flow of the story will then be hard to control. Nevertheless, I do want to incorporate big sets, with a crowd, heavy populated areas like a mall and a subway are going to be in there. Of course, the gameplay has got to make use of that aspect too."
On Graphics:
"People will be surprised. Internal (Sony's) feedback on graphics has been great. This is going to be a truly next-gen game. But still, we want to do something unique with the graphics, going beyond just making the most photorealistic world we can."

On Gameplay:
"With the release of Fahrenheit, we gave the adventure genre a new grammar. We brought new ways into the genre, new words if you want to see it like that, a new vocabulaire. With Heavy Rain, where going to expand on that same grammar."

On Story:
"Heavy Rain is about normal people that have landed in extraordinary situations. I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father's love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. Its purely about a father's love."
"The main story will revolve around 4 different characters, and we're putting the spotlight on their perceptions. The question 'what is good and what is evil' is the key here, that will be just a matter of viewpoint...I believe heavily in moral choices, I'm going to use them A LOT. They're not about being good or bad, but about finding the right balance."

DC Universe Online, the PS3 console exclusive Action-MMO-RPG has had slight bits of info released for the first time in 3 years, and there is alot more in depth info to come at the Nerd convention Comic-Con.

Sounding really good, an MMO with Batman, Superman, The Joker etc. and also be able to play in Metropolis, Gotham etc. all using the Unreal 3 engine, DC Universe online is looking like some great fun.

Full Interview here:
http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/891/891469p1.html
IGN: What is DCUO bringing to MMOs that we haven't seen before?

John Blakely: Well, first of all, there's the DC Universe -- Gotham, Metropolis, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Joker, Penguin, Solomon Grundy -- a whole host of heroes, a whole bunch of villains. Over 150 of these all penned by Jim Lee and his team at Wildstorm Entertainment -- they have put together probably over 1,500 concepts to kind of layout the official DCU, what it looks like. There's an official map of Metropolis now. There's an official map of Gotham. We're building those in the Unreal 3 engine. It's going to be shipped on the PlayStation 3 and on the PC so it'll be a console experience, and a big thing on that is moment to moment, this is an action game. First and foremost, superhero game and then we're layering in the pieces you'd expect with an MMO -- character progression, end games, rule the world or save the world, levels, loot, character-invested storylines like your hero's journey or your villain's journey. We're really trying to put all of those pieces together as you'd expect in an MMO but moment to moment it really is an action game like you'd play on your console...

anyone checked on this PSN game Fat Princess?

absolutely amazing art design and interesting strategy/skirmish game to boot. The only problem I can see is finding 32 players to join the game. Hopefully there is well designed AI to compensate.

Have to admit Sony is going full blast greenlighting alot of interesting IP on PSN and PSP including the previously mentioned patapon/locoroco/echochrome and also Flower and Pixeljunk.

I nearly want to buy a PS3 just on the sight of the following picture.

Frantic and fun, Fat Princess pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale. Your goal is to rescue your beloved princess from the enemy dungeon. There’s a catch though: your adversary has been stuffing her with food to fatten her up and it’s going to take most of your army working together to carry her back across the battlefield.

You can switch between five different character classes literally at the drop of a hat: the fearless Warrior, the steadfast Archer, the mystical Mage, the tireless Worker, and the deadly Priest. In order to triumph, players must combine their skills and work together. The name of the game is cooperation, whether it’s helping another player drag a log back to your castle, manning a battering ram to smash through the enemy’s front gate, or building a human pyramid to scramble over the walls.

Key Features

* Casual Single & Multiplayer Online/Offline Action – Cooperate with your team of medieval soldiers (up to 16 players on each side) to overthrow the opponent’s army, plunder their castle and save the princess
* 5 Character Classes – Change your avatar's character anytime by swapping hats: Worker, Warrior, Archer, Mage and Priest
* 10 Unique Maps – There will be 10 maps total, shared across single & multiplayer modes
* Experience intense frantic gameplay across diverse, charming and challenging environments
* Resources & Upgrades – Work together to collect resources to upgrade your primitive weapons and basic castle defenses into superior armaments and impenetrable fortifications
* Unique Game Modes – Select from several various game types: Rescue the Princess, Thwart the Invasion, and Medieval Games
* 32-player Online Skirmish – Jump in and join as many as 32 players online to wreak havoc on the battlefield and carry your stout princess back home during the conflict

LittleBigPlanet team - 23 ppl sleeping together in an english shack

Killzone 2 team - massive 200 ppl

also funny how in the 1up e3 wrapup podcast the LBP developer was telling of his expectation of the number of penis and boob user created stages that will appear.

In particular a cute bunny stage with hidden penises :p

You mean the G4 best of show award. How can LittleBigPlanet win the best of show, but not the best on PS3?
Because there is just too much quality exclusives coming out for the PS3 to decide on either one.;)

Why no mention of RE5 at all?
Haven't seen the stuff that has been shown from RE5, so don't know if it is any good, probably would be in the top list for mine anyway.

Resistance has been announced as a new title for the PSP.
Resistance: Retribution
A new chapter in the epic PlayStation 3 franchise, Resistance: Retribution takes on a third-person perspective in the ongoing fight with the Chimera. Set in the weeks after Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance: Retribution follows the story of former British Marine James Grayson. After a personal tragedy -- he is forced to kill his own brother inside a Chimeran conversion center – Grayson goes on a vendetta to destroy every conversion center he can find. Eventually Grayson learns that his efforts have been futile ... in Western Europe the Chimera have evolved a new method of converting humans to aliens. The European resistance -- the Maquis -- enlist Grayson's help, and he joins Cartwright and Parker in Operation Overstrike. The war to retake the European continent has begun.
Looks awesome for a PSP game.

thank goodness they chose the "syphon filter" route because fps controls on the psp suck arse!!!

its amazing how much more enjoyable it is to play metroid on the DS even with pen rather than the thumbnib thingy. If it wasn't for the rsi pain with my adult hands I'd still be playing it.
