Rocket just on SEN confirmed that he had poached someone from Carlton but wouldnt name names. I was only half listening unfortunately

Did he indicate it was from recruiting dept confirming the Shane Rogers rumour ?

Or was it fitness dept and in that case likely to be Paul Ford ?

I heard it too... it sounds like they were indicating a defensive coach... but it wasnt clear whether this person was a current Carlton coach or Ex-player.

My gutt feeling is it is SOS.

Did coach Murray into the GF this year, and also helped out for VM this year as well. Also assisted Barry Mitchell at the Bullants for a season recently IIRC.

What does he mean poached? Dean does not work for the Blues!

Eade had said the person hired had yet to inform his employer that he was leaving so he couldnt name him. I didnt hear him say that he was a premiership player or to be hired as a defensive coach player I only heard Carlton.

He then mentioned Drain had left the club.

Due to the rumours the dogs are after Rogers I assumed it was one of our off field staff

I was there for a season while he was. He is a good coach Good communicator, doesn't think he is above anyone else, knows his footy back to front and can inspire.

i was playing there as well, was under 19s back then though. but when i did play and train with the 1s he from what i remember was very professional and knew his footy pretty well, and also had this presence about him that made you listen to him when he was talking and at that stage there were a few players who liked to play up and got into them as well.. but from memory i think he had a bit of falling out with the club as well...
