Match Preview: Hawthorn Hawks vs Gold Coast SUNS​

The Hawks host the SUNS on Saturday afternoon eAFL at Marvel Stadium. Hawthorn is coming off a 37-point loss to North Melbourne last weekend, in what was a relatively low-scoring battle. However, the Hawks' earlier season form is strong, and they are currently adrift of third place only on percentage. Tom Scully was brave for the Hawks in their loss, notching up 25 workmanlike possessions, while Liam Shiels kicked a goal to go along with his 23 possessions.

The SUNS battled to contain the Saints early in their tussle on Sunday afternoon, but managed to power away in the second half to record a strong 43-point win. Ben King was again a difference for the SUNS up forward, kicking four straight goals. Big man Jarrod Witts continued his dominant early-season form, with 19 possessions and 5 tackles to go along with his 14 hitouts.
