I don't normally bash him.

But he missed the chance to get us up and running in last year's Pre-lim. And today he could've done the same, and missed an easy goal. Then some horrible turn overs in the last also...

I think he's just not composed, and is good when the team is running and flying, but doesn't stand up when it counts.

I'd play O'Keefe ahead of him next week.

Thoughts? Harsh?
 
How many times did his kick get smoothered?

I'm with you Gooka, I'm not normally the type to bash him, but he made some stuff ups today. With some talented players sitting on the sidelines watching, he really needs to watch his back.
 
Agreed. I totally lost it when he got smothered for the 2nd time in 10 seconds in the square, then again I have been calling for his head since last year.

Why didn't you start a thread on Aker? He was deplorable today. Or what about Cross and Gia? Never seen those two have quieter games. Where was Gilbee when the game was put beyond us in the third quarter? What about our blokes in the centre who let the Eagles waltz out of the middle time and time again? Shouldnt the thread be about Eade and the lack of structure in the team all day? And why didn't he place Picken as a hard tag on Kerr all match instead of just the last quarter?

I agree that Eagelton had a shocker but his first three games have been really good. I think he is one player that should share the blame for today....but he's one of many who had poor games. Starting a negative thread about Eagleton is so predictable on this board.

Same old shit, different year from him. A one trick pony who never delivers when the pressure is on.

If we had have been 6 goals up in time on when he took that set shot, he would have slotted it for sure.

* Although we looked as good as gone from mid way through the 3rd quarter (or even earlier being honest), it would have at least given us a sniff.
 
dam, u beat me to it with this thread, i live with 2 bulldog supporters who have continually knocked eagleton for good reason, he just runs the ball down the feild and blazes away,

today : 4 kicks were smothers, 4 kicks inside 50 to a 2 on 1 and once to a 2 on 0, doesnt go in hard enough, cant kick a goal, should be dropped and if he isnt it is a disgrace
 
at least he got the ball and his workrate was good

on that game alone I would drop Hahn, Harbrow, and Gia before the eagle.

He has been good the first couple of games.

umm gilbee was tagged out and who gives a shit if eagleton runs hes ass off,
he does sweet f a with the footy when he has got it, he doesnt chase he doesnt tackle he is useless.

and gia is another weak player that doesnt go in hard and is just a lazy player, he has alot of tallent but doesnt work hard enough, eade dilibratly left gia off for so long cuz he was playing like a dog

The point of bringing in a first gamer is to reward him great form and to send a message to the rest of the team that if they drop off in form they will get cut. Simple
 
He needs to go. Too predictable, no right foot. Couldn't believe how many times he butchered the ball and got smothered!!! His best asset, his kicking, was woeful. Seeya later.
