There's far too many, but I'll list some:

Greek: Agapi (Swan St., Richmond)
Turkish: Alaysha (Sydney Rd., Brunswick)
Malaysian: Jack's Satay Bar (Mt Alexander Rd., Moonee Ponds)
Mexican: Any Taco Bill, and Mariachi's (Whitehorse Rd., Box Hill)
Italian: Mark's Pizza Place (Swanston St., Carlton), and Il Primo or Dimattina's (Lygon St., Carlton)
Cafe: Smoken Joe's (Mt Alexander Rd., Moonee Ponds)
Classy Joint!: Ciccone's (Casino Complex, along the Yarra River)

My favourite places to go and eat would have to be.

All star cafe -they serve really nice food and it makes a terrific atmsphere on a saturday night when a game is on and there is a huge atmosphere.

Stalacities_a greek restuarant which serves some realy nice food.

Dimmatinas_obvious reasons and serves really good food i have been there a few times.

The asian joint up the street, actually most asian joints in Geelong and a few places I can't remember in the city, and Town & Country at Waurn Ponds.

Absolutely nothing better than a Stalactites mixed grill at 4am after a good win at the Footy and then a night on the turps!

:p

I think I've been there but at 4am I usually have no idea whether I'm at Stalactites or in the back of a cab with a pizza.  ;) :p

Also in Sydney the magnificently titled

Rangoon Racquet Club in Crows Nest

for the best Indain Curries you can ever hope to try

ah yes... been here once before..
a bit different from the usual indian joints.. as its indian in the british colonial period...

tho, i'm more of a fan of Thai curries...

best thai in sydney:

Doy-Tao ... king st newtown... my fave thai... great prices, great food... always packed...

Bank Hotel ... behind this hotel in newtown (right next to newtown station) is a very happening, courtyard that has a thai kitchen, churning out some of the best thai food... a bit on the pricey side, but the bowls of curry are huge... the atmosphere is great & loud..

If you like great Thai food then the Siam in Paddington is sensational as well.
