Has anyone had any Ebay problems with delivery of goods? I recently paid for a Nokia 8210 battery on Ebay but never received it. I have left 3-4 email messages but have not had a reply. I am now not able to write feedback as it was ordered in November. As it was only 15 bucks I am not too worried about the money but it just annoys me that I didn't receive what I paid for. I also looked at comments that the seller left about me and noticed that he had written "Quick response, smooth transaction..a treasure to Ebay.." I responded to this but no-one will see it as I am not a regular Ebay user. Is there anything I can do or have I been screwed? I have the sellers email address (the one he uses for ebay anyway).

Contact ebay direct.

Ditto that and then some. Be very wary is the only adivce I would offer when about to make a purchase. Even with sellers who have great recomendations (especially from the US, more there lack of wanting to ship to Aus than anything).

Haven't had any hassles with eBay transactions as yet, probably because they've all been within Aus, I just sold soemthing on eBay a couple of weeks ago and the winning bidder was a Yank, I'll see how this goes.

i always buy stuff within australia, mainly because i couldnt be bothered with the currency conversions, extra postage costs, delays in delivery that are associated with overseas transactions. ive sold and bought a few things on ebay and never had a problem, but i am always careful.

if i buy something expensive, i make sure the seller has an A+++ reputation, and whatsmore, i prefer to meet the person directly and pay them at an arranged meeting place. i guess i'm just pessimistic that some people will try and sell something expensive and just take your money. all youve really got is an email address.

for ebay it's definitely a case of buyer beware. Because it's all user-to-user transactions, ebay themselves can't usually do very much if you've lost something. For big transactions, ie: anything over $50, I always prefer to buy from someone who I can meet in person, inspect the goods and then hand over cash.

No probs here, and I have bought some expensive (>$1k) stuff. Mainly memorabilia from US and UK. Some antiques too. Though most of my sellers tend to be legit shops also.
