Sorry to trouble you guys about an ex- rather than current St K player, but hey, it's the off-season.

Ed McDonnell has just signed with Norwood (SANFL) after 2 years on your rookie list (mostly playing seconds for Scorpions, only a little firsts). Just wondering if anyone who actually watched him play could fill me in with a little more info about style, speed, potential, and all of the usual stuff?

Good sized defender with outstanding endurance. Some thought he was unlucky not to be retained for another year on the rookie list, but he had not played that much VFL seniors as you said.

With a bit more muscle he is capable of holding down full back or centre-half back, and certainly played some solid games towards the end of the year.

At 192cm and 88kg he would need some more development before he can become a regular in the Norwood seniors IMO.

Great work ethic too.
