I’ve been watching some 2018 season highlights lately and Eddie still stands out. He had a down year but still kicked a bunch of absolute pearlers.

Pick of the bunch is that incredible goal v the Dogs, in the wet, from 50m out on the boundary line, on his left foot...

I’m backing him to kick 50+ in 2019.

Favourite part of the highlight - last 40 seconds. Where Eddie tackled Silvagni, then quickly trapped the ball from bouncing away, then trapping the ball against another opponent, and then a quick snap!

More of that magic in 2019 please, Eddie!

The goal against Port in the last qtr was, in my opinion, his best for '18.

Hard to see him threatening to be anything more then 30 odd goal small forward next year, but at least he'll add to a highlight real most players could dream of.

I reckon if Betts stay injury-free, he will shock a few pundits. I think it’s going to be closer to 50 goals.

I just don't see it at all. You're fighting 18 months of form seeing the 2nd half of 2017 was very similar to his 2018 season.

I would say the years of Betts being a 40+ goal forward are over. That said he's still a dangerous niche which will require a bit of work put in. I suppose that is all we can ask for in this situation.

Pretty embarrassing for both really, the 2 tallest players on the ground outmarked by the shortest...

Still a bloody good small forward by competition standards. Hampered by fitness and the teams poor form last year, I reckon he’s still got a 50 goal season or 2 in him...
