Editing Photos

Gday everyone,

What are the best and moost user friendly programs for photo editing? I want to be able to add people to pictures and basically just be able to modify photos easily.

GIMP is free, or if you want really simple editing just use iPhoto.

Is Iphoto just for Mac? I dont have Mac.

Gimp is good, sort of like photoshop but free. May seem a little complicated but once you figure it out it's quite easy.

Photoshop is good and everything but unless you obtain it illegally or you need it for work /uni use the free alternatives. You wouldn't buy a Ferrari to drive to the local shops would you? no, well same applies here.

If you want cheaper clones of PS, try Corel Paint shop pro or GIMP (which is free).

I tried GIMP a few years ago and personally didn't like it, although I've worked with PSP quite a bit and find that fairly easy to use.

Although, photoshop is ultimately the best piece of software on the market for photo editing in terms of features and functionality. However, to new users it may take a while to grasp the interface well enough to do what you want to efficiently.

I dunno....doesn't take that long to get used to it. Good thing is there's a million "How-to's" online for PS.

From standard colour balancing, to giving a tummy tuck, to full on chop jobs, whatever you want you'll find it in a free online tutorial somewhere.

I got my first copy about 18 months ago and didn't have a clue. A little bit of playing around, and i was doing some pretty cool stuff the first day.

Another vote for photoshop. Its not hard top source a copy
