I've historically voted for the incumbents for stability and the lack of credible alternative. But I've now become disillusioned with the direction the club is heading in. On field we have no apparent game plan, slow and stagnant ball movement and overly reliant on 5 players.
Off field we've not taken advantage financially of a huge supporter base, prominent landmark home ground or been able to attract top end talent (football talent both on and off ground people).
So I was looking forward to a high profile challenge this morning to take the good work of the current board and take us to the next level.
Unfortunately you on get one crack at first impression. They f##ked this up. Same football dept people, offered up Balme without speaking to him and tried to suggest they would tell the coach how to play. This is just awful.

Whilst I will vote and vote for some new blood on the board, I do think there is no other option but to hope that the current plan with outgoing assistant coaches results in some new talented blokes coming in that challenge Dimma to an improved game plan and other as yet unknown changes from the magical EY report are given the opportunity to work.
Perhaps some blind faith but will stay with Peggy and really hope that they can soon outline to us financial members some definate improvements with football personnel and structure rather the hiding behind a report and stability. Give us something tangible Peggy.

Maybe I should have said recent history. It is still a huge mistake. What makes it worse is that Hardwick was still contracted for the year. There was no need to make it when we did. If things started to go pear shape that would have justified waiting. And then to not only extend his contract but to extend it by 2 years, goes down as the most stupid thing any administration has done in recent times. It is an absolute joke.

Iirc correctly when that idiot Bartlett made the media pitch, it was when we are at round six and behind the 8 ball again , the pressure from the media would be intense, prophetic words we were ****ed by round 6 and it went downhill from there, they are protecting their pay packets,

Have we still got the tins?

I have watched the Doc on talking footy and the couch and think he has recovered a lot of lost ground. The Balme thing was clumsy as was Bryan Wood on SEN but if they sort this out they are still a very viable option for mine.
He was good on the couch, they are probably just as angry at the state of the club as us on here, 650 a year for a bloke who has produced nothing

Get yanky clueless Peggy out!!
As he said we need some football people in there to start turning the onfield performances around.
No offence but Peggy just shits me

Racist

I want people with the kahuna's to say they'll put themselves up to the members vote and also say that they will get rid of Hardwick, Hartley and Jackson. A huge on field change is needed to change the clubs fortunes. The current board cannot see that while even blind Freddy can.
I do not accept that we've had ANY SUCCESS in the last 7 years. Not a single finals victory is a pathetic return from the footy department.
Thanks Doc

Have been working hard most of the day so not really across all of this. What has the rival ticket actually offered?

I thought I heard they are keeping the coach.
Some on here saying that they think Balme will come but they haven't contacted him.

What else?

What I've heard seems pretty amateurish.... Maybe even the angry people are #eco or maybe they have the right sentiment but not all the right people?

What happened on the Couch?

pompous is the word that describes her

Hows this quote from Peg "Instability and change equals chaos and I refuse to let that happen to my club," said O'Neal as she condemned the Focus on Football group's misguided board challenge.

A. It's not YOUR club Peg
B. The only instability is what your board has caused by extending an underperforming coach for 2 years and then not owning up to your flawed decision making
I'm glad you mentioned these points bc this is when I knew she had nothing new to bring to the table. Her arrogance and treatment with ignorance of RFC supporters was disrespectful.
Gale as harsh as I can be I still have a soft spot for and I still believe he's ready to throw a few people under a bus based on the outcome of this review.

How does the voting work at an EGM rfctiger74?

Do you vote for each seat so we could get a mixture or do we vote for a ticket?

yes - you vote for 9 names for the candidates you prefer. Prior to the vote, you will receive info from each ticket telling you how they wish you to vote, and just like a regular election - you can copy it or go your own way

Disappointed this poll isn't public so i can make an informed decision on who to vote for by doing the opposite of certain posters ;)

I know your joking, but I don't like how posters get attacked for who they vote - which is why I made it private

We haven't spoken to Neil Balme, but Neil Balme wants to come home.....

We don't need Balme

We just need to move on those that decided it was in the best interest to renew Hardwicks contract before the season commenced, then having to put up with the most inept coaching along with Frawleys and Wallaces last years....

I think this challenge fluffed it.

All they had to say was that they were removing the Board, Peggy, Hardwick, Richardson, Jackson & Hartley and they would have won the vote.

I don't know how some supporters can vote for Peggy considering she treats the members with disdain by calling us the "vocal minority" and "external noise".

But keep your powder dry. There are rumours of many more challengers to the Board about to show their hands. Let's just hope they are better than what we saw today.

Incumbent for me, fire away if you want

Lets just say of i can see your posts you're not apart of the people i want to do the opposite of.

Personally seeing its like a government election Wallace and Dunne will get my top vote with Peggy and Monteith last.

My issue is with the footy peep

I want free off the board, but dont trust Monteith given the issues he's had with his business in the past (and I didn't like the way he tried to get on in 2013)

That leaves me with Wood. I thought he was a great replacement for Free, then I heard him on SEN.

Seriously, how ****ing hard is it???
