My missus, Rachel Merton, is an award winning classical composer who has a crowdfunding campaign coming into its last seven days at the moment.
It's for her community chamber-music ensemble which she formed to give non-professional level musicians a chance to play music written and arranged specifically for them, and tailored to their ability levels.
I don't often post outside of the Lions board, and I hope I'm not overstepping the mark here by giving her a plug - she has put her heart and soul into this - so I need to do whatever I can to help her reach her modest goal after everything she has done for me.

That's her composition that won the 2MBS Fine Music National Young Composers award last year, played by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choral. I'm a philistine generally who only really listens to metal and even if I wasn't engaged to her I still would think that piece is awesome.
What she has written for her ensemble doesn't sound quite as big -the ensemble only consists of 2 violins, a cello, drums and Rachel on piano - but it is definitely a similar style. It really bridges contemporary classical music and more melodic traditional classical music and has the memorability of a movie or game score.
On that note, they also arrange music from pop-culture - such as the Game of Thrones theme.
