If so what do you think of the new album, Leaders Of The Free World?

I'm really impressed with it so far, a little bit more upbeat than Asleep In The Back & Cast Of Thousands. Certainly one of my favourites releases of this year.

Elbow's new album The Seldom Seen Kid will be out March 17. Apparently it's 'heavier' & darker' than Leaders Of The Free World. If it's as good as their previous 3 albums it should be excellent, really looking forward to it.

I would dub them as progressive rock - often introspective & melancholic with beautiful, lush, soaring music coupled with candid & evocative lyrics. Guy Garvey is a great singer and the rest of the band are fantastic instrumentalists. Comparisons? A bit ahrd, I dodn't know if there is any band quite like Elbow. Leaders Of The Free World is probably the most accessable of their 3 albums to date and is a good starting point. Asleep In The Back & Cast Of Thousands are just as good. 10 tracks to download to get a good overview would be:
